GT: Seattle @ Chicago

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sun Jan 16, 2011 3:18 pm

I don't care who we play next week. Chicago is definitely the better team.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

**** Chicago. Hopefully they are caught looking ahead since they know their opponent.

I actually really want Chicago to win this game. Would it not be one of the biggest games in NFL history?

With the way Chicago's season has gone I don't want to lose on the NFC Championship on a fluke play or blown call.

Their luck has to run out eventually. If it doesn't happen today it'll just happen next week :D

I would love to see Virginia McCaskey hand the Packers the Halas trophy at Lambeau South...in her house.

I don't really give a damn about the NFCC being a great game or a hyped game. I want to win. Seattle gives us the better chance, although I think we do beat either. Superb Owl is all that matters. Go Seahawks.

Early forecast for next Sunday. Seattle 48, partly cloudy, Chicago 24 partly cloudy.

Conventional widom would tell me to prefer Seattle but the more an more I think about it, the less I would want to play a team that beat New Orleans and went into Chicago and beat that defense in their house in their weather conditions. Not to mention Seattle probably has the best fans in football and best home field advantage as far as atmosphere.

I am taking Seattle in this game, mainly due to the fact that I can't see Cutler handling the pressure of his first playoff game that well and hasselbeck can be patient against their secondary, provided his OL keeps him upright.

Seahawks 13
Bears 10

I heard the players would probably prefer Chicago due to travel for the game, however I think Seattle by far has a weaker defense and we should be able to exploit the hell out of them so I personally want Seattle.

Yep. Seattle doesn't have a big time pass rusher, or a DL that can really give our OL problems. Rodgers would have all day to throw, in better weather as well.

Plus, we don't have to deal with the Hester factor if we avoid Chicago.

For me, at this point it comes down to keeping Rodgers upgright. If he is, we will roll anyone.

Bear's DLine and Special Teams worry me. I can't think of a single thing that worries about the CHawks.

Go Seattle. Just get us to Dallas. Going through Seattle is the easier way to get there. We absolutely can beat either, but Seattle is the easier path.
