Hair we go again.
Linebacker Clay Matthews has joined Pittsburgh Steelers' safety Troy Polamalu in an exclusive club: Super Bowl participants who are being paid to endorse hair products.
Matthews, known almost as much for his long blond hair as for his sacks, has signed a one-year endorsement deal with Unilever's Suave brand.
Ryan Williams of Athletes First, Matthews' marketing agent, said the deal included media appearances pre- and post-Super Bowl and a production day should the company want to film a commercial or additional advertising with him.
Polamalu's hair reportedly is sponsored and insured for $1 million by Head & Shoulders.
Terms of Matthews' contract with Unilever were not disclosed. The linebacker said on Monday that an announcement on a sponsorship deal was imminent.
Polamalu and Matthews both played at USC.
