I was just thinking of this question and wanted to see what the popular opinion is? For me it's easy to say I'd take this team over the 97 team. For whatever reason I find this team so much easier to root for. With all the injuries that they had to overcome and the fact that Favre lovers and TT haters made me defend my team harder than I ever had to do with the 97 team. Maybe it was that I was 18 for the last Super Bowl team and thought this would be easy and I'd see championships the rest of my life, but knowing how hard it is to get there and actually win it has me enjoying this win so much more.

They lost in 98.

Reggie White is probably my absolute favorite player ever, but this team top to bottom is so awesome to root for that I have to give it up to them.

White was my favorite player on that team. I think Rodgers is over taking White as my favorite player ever. I was never a big fan of Favre, so I'm happy to say that Rodgers, is the best QB this franchise has ever had.

Rodgers has to do this for a few more years before I can say that and I love Rodgers and consider him pretty much 1b in terms of overall NFL QB right now with Brady being 1a.

I still rate it as:

1) Starr
2) Favre
3) Rodgers

Rodgers is very very quickly catching up though and if he puts up another season like this next year and wins another Super Bowl he will surpass Favre just based on having more championships.

This will probably always be my favourite superbowl team ever, just because of everything the team had to deal with. From injuries to so many key players, all the Favre garbage, criticism of Rodgers, winning 6 striaght elimination games to win the superbowl, etc. This was a special, special season and I'm sure we will never forget it.

This because I will actually remember it forever, I was too young back then and just came to the country none the less. Then it was 13 years of Superbowl disappointment, this season is surreal and one I never forget.

It's hard to say,I'd probably have to let this one sink in a little more before I could give an honest answer.

I'd probably lean toward 1996 a little more just because it had been so long since the Packers won and had been so bad in the 70's & 80's.

I was 18 when the Packers won in 1996 too so as a kid in the 80's I remember how bad this team sucked in the 80's,for those not old enough to remember the Packers of the 80's,the Packers of the 80's were basically the Bucks of the last 20 years.

But there are a ton of reasons why this one is **** awesome as hell.

I was only 7 the last super bowl so I don't remember that much.

I'm 21 now and I will remember this one for the rest of my life so I'll pick this one. Especially with all the adversity this team had to go through. This team truly is filled with champions.

This may be a generation bias but from 3-3 and 8-6 to super bowl champs, man, feels good man.

It would be cool if we had any posters on here who were old enough to remember the 60's dynasty. I don't think there are, but it would be cool if some lurkers chimed in.

Reggie
Gilbert
Favre
Beebe
Levens
Bennett
Freeman
Howard
Brooks


Basically everyone, but from what I can remember, Beebe, Favre, White and Brown the most.

How we won w/o our #1 WR an #1 RB I'll never know. Oh, wait....

I have a pretty good memory of 1996, I was 10, and it is hard to say.

I may repeat this on the postgame thread, but the thing that clinches it for me in this season is the nature of it.

-We beat Brent in a nailbiter at home when he fell just short of bringing them back.
-We DESTROYED Brent in his last hoorah at the douche dome, officially KOing their season.
-The Bears consciously tried to keep us out of the playoffs...and failed.
-We crushed the stupid Matty Ice image (one of my personal favorites, I hate random clutch QB ideas from the TV pundits).
-We beat the Bears, having another flukey season...to go to the Super Bowl.


Everything was there in this one.

Take a step back. I realize we lost 6 games, but it would be hard to find a better script.

I was in college when we won back in the day and it was awesome. This win is so much better because it was so unexpected. What a **** season. Incredible.

Favre, Chewy, Eugene Robinson....ack.

Woodson might be my new ATFP (all time favorite packer). I'm not a crier at all for these type of things but hearing him talk about breaking down in the locker room gave me tears.

I think this one might be a little sweeter to me after it sinks in a little more.

Who would have thought 3 years after the Favre BS we would be SB champs,and doing it as a # 6 seed is very impressive/sweet in itself.

I couldn't be happier for Woodson,Driver and especially Rodgers.

Rodgers is a freaking awesome,going through what He went through with the Favre stuff and the way he handled it all with class and didn't let it shake him at all,so happy he got a ring and a Super Bowl MVP.
