Feel free to lock or merge with the draft thread, but pretty sure the combine starts today right?

Maybe throw up some 40 times, etc in here.

That picture will always be embedded in my brain when the words "Scouting Combine" come up.

Best Packers GMs in the last 25 years:

1. Sherman

No one else is even close, not worth listing. :D

If only we could pry him away from Texas A&M.

This is another reason I wish Time Warner would finally work a deal out for the NFL Network. There usually isn't anything on tv to watch during the day so I'd probably watch quite a bit of the Combine coverage.

Watching the combine is a huge time waster and yet I spend hours every year watching. :)

Combine ends March 1. We should have a pretty good idea of who the Raiders are going to select by then.

Trust me guys, the only thing worse than watching it on TV is watching it in person. Except when you're there as media now, you aren't allowed in the actual arena but rather herded into a conference room with crappy WiFi and not enough chairs. Even last year when I was part of a team contingent I was bored stiff. The only cool part was getting the immediate reaction after player interviews.

All the important stuff in Indy happens in hotel lobbies, restaurants, and bars. I'm missing that action right about now...

I really think that picture played a role in getting Sherman removed as GM and Ted hired.

Harlan had to see that Sherman wasn't drafting well and then someone shows Harlan that picture of Sherman crashed out at the combine, panic sets in.

Icness is right. You can curse Time Warner and Charter for not carrying NFL Network, but not because of the combine. That is the worst thing ever to watch.

Have you seen what else is on tv? Especially during the day...

Yes, I'm not saying there's a good selection during the day, but pretty much anything is better than the combine.

GTFO. Watching guys run multiple 40's, test their verts, run routes, etc. is epic.

Just caught an interview between Peter King, Gil Brandt, and Ted Thompson. The main points:

--King asked TT about Johny Jolly. TT carefully stated that Jolly is still suspended by the NFL and that's all he is going to say about that. It was said in such a tone that Jolly clearly has no future with the Packers.

--There is "an inflation factor" with winning the Super Bowl that can cause problems but it hasn't really hit yet.

--TT is not yet done signing players currently under contract to extensions, but is proceeding "more carefully than usual" because of the uncertainty of a future cap.

--TT is "very impressed" by the defensive line talent in this draft. That came on the heels of King talking about Raji maybe getting a new deal, which TT didn't even touch.

Thanks Icness, but as I was just wondering why anyone would bother reporting anything Ted Thompson says in a press conference. The guy never says a single thing of note. I've never seen anyone say anything less interesting. Not even the Hoodie.
