I'd be thrilled if one of Greg Little, Jerrel Jernigan, or Randall Cobb was there. Would also be cool to grab Bruce Carter, Marvin Austin, or Ras-i Dowling on the defensive side if one of them fell.

Justin Houston. He's the perfect OLB across from Clay.

Here's the 45 man gameday active roster at this point. Huge needs are in Red. Moderate needs are in Yellow. Obviously this all changes with Free Agents and the like.
Clifton-Sherrod-Wells-Sitton-Bulaga
Lang-Newhouse-McDonald
Rodgers
Flynn
Starks
Grant
Johnson/Kuhn
Jennings/Nelson/Driver/Nobody/Nobody
Finley/Quarless/Crabtree
Neal-Raji-Pickett
Wilson-Green-nobody
Clay-Bishop-Hawk-Zombo
Jones-Chillar-Nobody-Walden
Woodson-Tramon-Shields-Bush
Collins-Burnett-Pepprah
Goode
Masthay
Crosby
42 guys
8 Olineman
2 QBs
4 Backs
4 receivers
3 TE
6 Dlineman
8 Linebackers
7 DBs
3 STers
You need at least 4 Receivers
You need at least 6 Dlineman
You need at least 4 Inside Linebackers

Bucksfan, you may want to edit that in light of Jones/Bjax getting tendered.
Wow, heck of a day one. The locker pick, minnesota's continued ineptitude (so much so that it seems MN/DET will have completely changed places. I only hope MN's schtick becomes drafting a new 1st round qb each season). The Atl trade up. Ted Thompson's continuing pwnage of the NFL.
Sherrod was great and we didn't have to give up anything to get him. Roll along with BPA (Hopefully it turns out 60/40 defense/offense) and begin the title defense run.

I don't think we know that those tenders stand. Do we?

Draft the two potheads at 64 and 96 and the defense is set except for an ILB in the later rounds.
Then go receiver for a couple of picks and then start drafting for value.
64: Houston
96: Ballard/Nevis
129: Niles Paul
131: John Moffit
163: Nate Irving
197: Mark Herzlich
204: Terrence Tolliver
235: Jeremy Kerley
2 ILBs
3 WRs
1 G/C
1 DE
1 OLB
If we don't resign Jones we've got 3 active WRs one of which is Driver. 1 of the draftees will get the 4th spot. One goes on the 53 man roster the other goes on the PS. Next year when Driver retires, everybody moves up a slot.
Irving and Herzlich fight it out for 4th inside backer (assuming Chillar is brought back which I'm not positive will happen). Same thing happens with Jones and Walden at OLB. I think I'd see what Walden's trade value is before I send him to the PS though.
Moffit is kept on the 53 man roster and is groomed as Wells' eventual replacement
Go into next year with the 45 looking like
Clifton-Sherrod-Wells-Sitton-Bulaga
Lang-McDonald-Newhouse
Rodgers/Flynn
Starks/Grant
Johnson/Kuhn
Jennings-Nelson-Driver- Niles Paul
Finley/Quarless/Crabtree
-------------------------------------------------------------
Neal-Raji-Pickett
Wilson-Green-Ballard
Clay-Bishop-Hawk-Houston
Jones-Chillar-Irving-Zombo
Tramon-Woodson-Shields-Bush
Collins-Burnett-Pepprah
Goode
Mashtay
Crosby
8 man inactive: Nance, Tolliver, Grahm Cracker, Moffit, Herzlich, Walden, Lee, Underwood

The Ravens still want a pick from the Bears.
Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome, on an open line to New York, demanded to know why the trade hadn't gone through. Chicago never called to confirm it, Newsome was told. Baltimore was infuriated. The league didn't allow the trade. The Ravens picked Smith at 27 (not 26; Kansas City was awarded the 26th pick and picked Baldwin, because the Chiefs got the pick in before the Ravens did), and the Bears got lucky, getting Carimi at 29.
"Whatever you hear, Baltimore did everything the right way," Bears GM Jerry Angelo told Chicago media. "There were a lot of things happening in the draft room. We were getting a lot of calls, we just ... dropped the ball. I dropped the ball. I can't say anything more than that."
All's well that ends well, you say? Not so fast. Angelo called Baltimore owner Steve Bisciotti to apologize, but Bisciotti wanted the fourth-round pick anyway, claiming it was part of the deal they'd agreed to. In fact, I'm told Bisciotti today will push to get the fourth-round pick, or to make the situation right in some way.
The league is under no obligation to do so, because the trade was never official. And maybe all's fair in love and draft-night trades, but as far as Baltimore's concerned, I don't think this one's over. I think the Ravens will ask the league to award them some compensation from Chicago before the draft resumes at 6 p.m. Eastern today. Stay tuned.

Hope the Ravens get their 4th. That'd be great.
