UW lands 4-star QB Bart Houston

Reports: 4-star QB commits to Badgers

Late Monday night came some big news for Badgers fans.
Quarterback Bart Houston from De La Salle (Calif.) High School has confirmed to multiple recruiting sites that he gave a verbal commitment to Wisconsin.
Houston is listed as a four-start recruit by Scout.com, Rivals.com and 247Sports.
Why is Houston leaving the left coast to come to Wisconsin? Here's what he told SuperPrep.com:
"It's a program that is team first and individual second. That's how it is at De La Salle and that's what I saw at Wisconsin. That was their philsophy, the way they held themselves, the way they talked about the season. I looked at the academics and the pro-style offense and I really liked that."
As a junior, Houston passed for 1,922 yards with 20 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also rushed for 11 touchdowns.
De La Salle was undefeated last season.
Houston was also known to be recruited by Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, San Diego State, UCLA, Utah and Washington.
