2012 Draft Prospect Thread

Post#1 » by Sauce Boss » Tue Aug 2, 2011 4:03 am

Too early? Yes. Truth is TT doesn't sign free agents, so I am already looking forward to the next draft to think about possible players that will fill new roles and holes in our team. If anything you can just voice positions you'd like to see addressed in the early rounds. Just want to talk about anything Packers right now.

I'm thinking top 3 positions I'd like to see addressed right now are DL, LB, and WR. If we pick at 32 again I'm already eyeing up big body DT to play 3-4 end or ends that are just under the 300lb area. Have my eye on Billy Winn at Boise State and Josh Chapman from Alabama for sure. A rush LB would be nice or a ILB to rotate with Bishop and Hawk. Got my eyes on Luke Kuechly from BC, Brandon Lindsey from Pitt, and Devin Taylor from South Carolina. Also like the prospect of drafting a G if Clifton starts to really go and Sherrod takes over the LT spot.

Again, I know its really early, but this lockout finally getting over with has me addicted to pretty much anything football right now.

WR really isnt a need. Right now it is too hard to tell what is a need with this team, which is awesome! G/C maybe, LB, DL.
