Also, Goal for next week: Hold opposing QB to under 400 yards passing.

Cam is a freak, glad we pulled out a win, hope Collins is ok. The opposing team is gonna bring it every week against the Champs.

Got the win but my main concern is Nick Collins

This could have easily been a Miami game from last year. Take the win and move on to a tough road match up with the Bears next week.

Newton has the makings of a stud QB, he did some dumb things that cost Carolina the game but he showed some crazy ability. That last bomb to Steve Smith was an insane throw. Their O-Line also did a really good job with protection. Panthers definately have something to build on now.

I see it as a meh game where we fell behind early because of a couple of nice plays by their offense with a subsequent fumble on the kickoff after their first drive.

Good win.

I can't say I'm overly concerned about anything after this game.

@CasserlyCBS: Nick Collins. Movement in all extremities. CT is negative

Really?

I'm concerned that we gave up 500 yards of offense with numerous defensive breakdowns and sporadic pressure on the QB. I think it would be somewhat niave not to be somewhat concerned with the play of the defense thus far.

Cam is a stud. Played about as good as you could hope against a Super Bowl champion. If Smith holds on to the ball like he should we might be talking about a loss.

I'd rather have defensive breakdowns than being completely outmatched or outefforted.

Want some opinions on the Finley catch. I counted 4 steps after he caught the ball. If that same play was made at the 30 is it a catch? If he makes that catch at the 3 and stumble back into the endzone is that a catch? And how many steps does it take to "process" a catch?

packers Green Bay Packers
Led by James Starks with 85 on 9 carries, the Pack rushed for 124 yds on 21 atts. for an avg. of 5.9.

Good. That looked like it could have been another LeRoy Butler situation

Die NFL rulebook.

He had posession and took several steps then fell to the ground and the ball popped out because of the contact with the ground. It is moronic to have that count as a catch in the regular field of play but not have it could as a catch in the endzone.

Yeah. I'm not concerned. Our defense isn't really any different than last year. We're fine.

Against NO, they got a ton of yards in the last few minutes passing the ball. In this game, we didn't have Tramon and Wood was playing outside instead of in his usual role in our 2-4-5.

I would have preferred seeing Lee lining up outside with Wood inside in our 2-4-5 set, but they instead went with Bush. I like Bush, but I think Lee is a much better cover CB.

Per NFL rulebook:
Item 3: End Zone Catches. If a player catches the ball while in the end zone, both feet must be completely on the ground before losing possession, or the pass is incomplete.

Dude, all that rule is saying is that if your feet aren't down in the endzone, the ball is incomplete.

That's not why it was called incomplete.
