Week 6 Postgame: Packers vs. Rams

The Good News: We won handily playing one quarter of good football.

The Bad News: We only played one quarter of good football.

I take that as good news, give MM material to keep them busting their ass instead of being complacent with being 6-0.

I wonder how many plays the Rams ran in our territory while only scoring 3 points? Seemed like they were there the whole game.

Pathetic 2nd half by the offense.

Drops. That was the problem with the offense. Rodgers looked as good as he always does, and it's tough to run when the other team knows it's what you're trying to do. Jennings, Driver and Nelson catch the easy passes and this was a route.

I was amazed they only scored 3 points.

As Chuck said, we get another win AND McCarthy will chew their ass all week. Win/win.

Packers LB A.J. Hawk learned a hard lesson about the power of instant media Sunday when television cameras caught him flipping the bird to the Packers sideline after a first-quarter sack.

Before long, screen shots of the action were all over the place and Hawk had to address his action after the game.

"I guess it was on TV," Hawk said in the locker room after the game. "I definitely wasn't mad or upset with anybody. It was kind of a running joke with a couple of my teammates. I got caught up in the emotion of the game.

"Sometimes you forget that it's on TV. I definitely want to apologize to anyone who's kids were watching and got offended or anything. I understand. I'm sorry that got out there."

Hawk said he couldn't say who the teammates were and what the joke was.

"Multiple teammates," he said.

Hawk said he didn't think much about his actions at the time because he was pumped up from making a big play

"I don't get a whole lot of sacks, so I was excited," Hawk said. "I just got up and it happened. Like I said, I apologize, but I didn't really think about it at the time. A lot of times I get stuck in that game mode and don't really worry about who's around me or the team or the fans.

"So I definitely apologize for that. It wasn't meant to get out there for people to see."

Hawk said he hopes he doesn't get fined by the NFL.

I'm going to try and justify this shoddy performance by thinking McCarthy didn't really gameplan too much for this team. Wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to install new looks for a team you should beat handily.

Just shows you how good our team is when the fans aren't happy with a 21 point win where Rodgers throws for over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I think our offense just lost focus in the second half. MM can use it as motivation in future games if we are up big at the half against an inferior opponent.

In years past, hell last year, we would lose to scrub teams like this (Miami, Washington).

I didn't notice during the game but Collins was on the sideline today:

One of the most boring games ever. Packers shut it downin the second half like always.

Like always? Like when we scored 19 points in Atlanta? Or 21 against Denver? Or 23 in Carolina?
