This sounds really cool. Too bad it won't be on Blu Ray. I really want to watch the Falcons game again.

No blu-ray is a dealbreaker for me.

Gross that it won't be available on blu-ray, what a waste.

That's kind of lame that it's not on blu-ray. Oh well, I don't have the games on DVR so I'll be buying this.

It's 2011, if it's only going to be released in one format, it should be blu-ray. I'll probably get it thought, just to have the games available in some format.

I already have the games saved, only way I would buy this would be on blu-ray.

Don't most Blu Ray players up convert DVD's anyway? Shouldn't be too big of a deal.

You can't truly upconvert 720 to 1080. The data just isn't there, yes they will do techniques to smooth it out and such but it isn't really the same as true 1080p. I will not buy this if it is only on DVD.
Upconverting is just a gimmick, DVDs only store the data in 720 whereas blu-ray stores pictures in 1080.

It's even worse than that as DVDs are 480 native.
That said, depending on the quality of the transfer, there are certainly blu rays out there that look no better than the upconverted dvd.

Yeah, I was going to say I don't think DVDs are even 720. 720 is still HD, just a lower quality HD than 1080. I don't buy blu-ray's of movies/tv shows that weren't shot in HD, it's pretty much pointless.

Very true, the native format for DVD video is 720 x 480 whereas blu-ray is 1920 x 1080
So basically a blu-ray has the capability to be over 2x as sharp and detailed.
For the person who asked the difference. The difference between DVD and blu-ray is basically the same as going from standard definition TV to HDTV.

The Packers are like Friday the 13th. They are going to win so many, you just lose track of them.

I already have the games on DVD so the only way I would consider buying this would be if they dubbed Packers radio network broadcasts over the game, which it doesn't sound like they did.Instead you get to relive Buck & Aikman bitching about PI on the final play of the Super Bowl.
