I'll be the first to say GO LIONS!!!!
If the Lions can somehow beat the Saints not only do the Saints get knocked out but we then can avoid the Giants in the divisional game.
If we can face the Falcons & then the 49ers that would be most favorable obviously.
Looking like it will be Giants & then the Saints for us.....if we win the NFC we are going to earn it.

The giants are going to be a pesky bunch in the playoffs.

Packers off Monday/Tuesday, practice Wednesday/Thursday, that's all that's been released. Not a whole lot you can do until you know the opponent and can game plan. The fact we played both Atlanta and the Giants (as well as Detroit) helps. We'll be playing one of them.

I want the Giants. I want the opportunity to pay them back for 2007.

The NFL should really start seeding for the playoffs based strictly on records.
It's ridiculous that a 12-4 Steelers team should have to go on the road to play Denver who is only 8-8, even though Pittsburgh should win pretty easily. Atlanta has a better record than the Giants, yet has to play in NY.

Its the only way to keep winning the division mean anything. Not saying your wrong... just saying

Well winning the division would still mean you're in the playoffs, it just doesn't guarantee a home game. I see the reasoning why the NFL does it the way it does but Denver (and Seattle last year) getting home games and all the financial benefits that goes with that, sucks.

They get the highest-seeded team remaining. Only team they can't play is Cincy.

If I were you, I would root for PIT and HOU. If they both win you get HOU, which should be a win and NE has to play PIT. Then if PIT knocks off NE, you get them at home in the title game.

that's all well and logical, but all season i wished we had a chance to play tebow, but the bengals winning too seems very unlikely
either way though

Parity in the regular season (this is the 16th straight season at least five new playoff teams have qualified) and parity in the postseason:
In the last four seasons, home teams are 21-19 in playoff games.
In the last six seasons, the Super Bowl has been won by sixth, first, second, fifth, third and sixth seeds.

I'll always take the team with the worst QB. After that I'd take the team with the worst pass rush.

http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/ ... um=twitterPretty good article here that mentions the OLB situation pertaining to the playoffs. Capers compliments both Jones and So'oto for their play, and Silverstein speculates that Jones could see the bulk of the snaps with So'oto playing in strictly passing situations. Also a good thing that Capers mentions giving Jones, So'oto, and Zombo reps this week with no mention of Walden being in competition for the spot.
