Week 2 PGT: Bears @ Packers (23-10 Packers win)

Post#1 » by trwi7 » Fri Sep 14, 2012 3:38 am

We should make a thread before every game about switching to the 4-3 after the season if the defense is going to play like that.

On that note. LOL at Cutler.

Great game by the defense. Still don't feel super great about the offense. If we win 30-3, which was plausible if Jones didn't **** up twice, then I'm feeling a bit better.

I said it in last week's PGT and I'll say it again. By the end of this year, Clay Matthews will be the best player on the Packers.

The defense is taking huge strides. Clay Matthews looks like he was never meant to play on the strong side. McMillian looks like a strong player. Worthy flashed some skills too.

Jones and Finley have all the talent in the world, and neither one of them is a football player.

I'd cut both to resign Jennings.

I would honestly consider this as well. If you think Jennings has gas left in the tank for a long term contract, you make this happen.

I was thinking it's about time we go for it on 4th and 26. We deserve to convert one after that playoff game. 30 seconds later, Crabtree is in the endzone.

I'm glad Perry barely played so I didn't have to listen to Mayock say "Nick Purry" all night.

Oh yeah:

Id cut finley for sure, although he can change my mind.

The defense looked great and there are still a few more players coming back.

Cutler wished Green Bay's secondary "good luck" at utilizing physical tactics against Chicago's receivers, while Brandon Marshall deadpanned, "I do welcome that."

Defensive dominance. I read the thread over at the Bears board and lol at the pathetic excuses. I gave the 9ers their due when we got whooped. Bears were dominated in every facet tonight and it wasnt even remotely close.

Really nice game by the defense, they won it for us(along with Cutler being hilariously awful).

I have faith that the offense will gel in the coming weeks. We faced one amazing defense and one pretty good defense to start the season as well. We'll get it together.

If the pass rush plays like this all year, we're going to be good. The offense is just a matter of time in terms of putting up 30 every week. Clay is a goddam monster.
