Week 14: Lions Lead-Up

I'll be making the trip down for this one as I landed tickets last minute for face value. This Lions team is an absolute mess defensively right now. I think if we get on them early they give up but can't take the game lightly either.
Lang should be back. No idea on Nelson.

Maybe Clay or Shields will be back one of these days.

Step one: Start Lang at LG and Barclay at RT.
Step two: Do not let Megatron go all Megatron on us.

I would like to rest Lang's elbow but the Pack can't afford to lose another game. I mean they can lose and would still be alright since Seattle is losing their starting CBs, but it would be better to win out. If Barclay is starting, the motto of the run game should be "Run Right".

Yeah, normally I don't care a ton about homefield, but we could use a first round bye this year with the injuries we have. I think if they win 3 of the remaining 4 with one of them being the Bears they will get the #2 seed. Niners still play at NE and at SEA. I think the Giants lose two more as well.

The Giants are such a hard team to predict. When they are running hot they are almost unbeatable, when they are running cold they can't do anything right.
I could see them going 0-4 or 4-0 to close out the year.

Hopefully we make it 11 division wins in a row. Gotta keep winning if we are going to win the division.

Ticket prices much lower than normal for this one. December plus night game equals a good deal. Saw some on stubhub for less than $100. If you can wait until right before kickoff you'll get a better deal in the scalpers area, just be careful, no all scalpers are legit.

Barclay was my choice for RT from the moment Bulaga went down. As well as he played - if we stay with him - and I hope we do - he won't be without bad moments - he's gonna to be up & down. But Lang will be MUCH better at LG. And I like the EDS idea of replacing Saturday as starting C. In addition to improving the line this year, we'd also get a chance to see if EDS is really a viable starting option next year or not.
This is another example of what we did in the 1st two games -start off w/ experienced player and improved with going to rookie
game 1 - Bush / EDS
game 2 - Hayward / Barclay

Lions WR Ryan Broyles tore his (other) ACL yesterday. Big loss.

Jordy felt something during pregame and tried to play through it. Will be hardpressed to play this week but it's not looking too serious. Same Hammy.
Lang is further along at this point.
Woodson can probably go next week, if you ask him he will probably want to go this week.
Clay tested today, but no info as of yet

Please just put Woodson at safety full time.

I got offered the chance to go to the game for face value price and still declined. Once December hits, i have no interest anymore in attending games, unless it's a playoff game and even that i might pass on because i have no desire to freeze my assss off for 4-5 hours when i could watch the game instead on my big plasma and in a warm house with a buddy or two. Plus, not have to pay 7-8 bucks a beer and 5-6 bucks for a brat or nachos as i freeze drinking that beer.
Been there and done that enough times, just not fun enough to me anymore as my disdain for the cold increases each year. Now, i pretty much only attend one game a year in September or October.

Jordy unlikely to play in this one, this is getting annoying.

Thinking about going to this one as well. I haven't been to a game yet this year and this will be my last opportunity most likely. Under a $100 isn't too bad I guess even if it is over face value.

Woodson likely back for Da Bears next week. Our D-Backs have done well but it will be good to have him back.
No word on Matthews, it all depends on if he practices Wednesday. He did work out yesterday.

Tickets on StubHub went from a low of around $95 yesterday to a low of around $60 today. Wonder if I should even wait a day or two to see if they go lower or if that is where they will bottom out. Any suggestions?
