I REALLY hope Star falls to us.

Besides that I am in the same boat as last year with the safety position. Last year around January I was hoping we could land Harrison Smith in the 3rd round, then as the combine occured I was hoping maybe we could get him in the second, then it seemed like we might not even be able to get him in the second. Well we did and we passed on him. Big regrets will come from that.

I have had the same feeling about Cyprien. I was hoping for him in the 3rd earlier this year, last month I said ok...the second, now I am starting to believe we may not have a shot on him in the first and if we do...we pass on him and watch him get drafted a pick or two later.

Wants: Star, Ogletree, Lacy, trade down with picking up a future first from a bad team like Buffalo/AZ/Cleveland(this is one thing TT never does that I would love to see)

I used to research the draft quite a bit, but ever since we got TT I've kind of taken the approach that I trust him so much that I skip all the research and just wait to see who he takes on draft night. Then I'll read up on the picks and most of the time I end up liking what he did. So I literally have no preference on who we take.

Of course I trust TT - not anything you can do about it anyway if you don't.

Don't know who I want, but prediction-wise...

DL, S, OL, LB, or big WR/Eifert in that order of probability. With DLs, who knows how the Packers and other teams rate Jesse Williams, Sylvester Williams, Short, Lotuleli, Hunt, Hankins, Jenkins, Jones. But seems like you could make a case for any of those guys in the late first round.

At S, I'm persuaded by McGinn's take on injured players, so I could see S Reid not being the pick; otherwise, I'm guessing Vaccaro is gone and Cyprien would be the lone S possibility there.

OL, if Cooper or Warmack dropped, I could see us doing that like we did Bulaga. Watson, I have no idea who he is--but don't we already have a developmental OT from Florida State? Otherwise, I could see us taking an OL later in the 3rd-5th rounds, maybe someone like Barrett Jones, who's a winner and smart on the field and crazy versatile--I'd imagine the coach would love to have him as the 6th or 7th lineman in uniform, so much flexibility. Actually, I think Barrett Jones would be a great great pick in the mid-rounds.

LB, I could see Tank Carradine, despite what McGinn said about injury. He seems like a guy who plays really physically, and you can always use pass rushers. If he's really good, why not have 2 DL plus Clay, Perry, and Carradine all in there on passing downs? Clay can rush from anywhere: outside, ILB, spy. And maybe an ILB like Ogletree. Teo or Minter, I don't see. They're not special-enough athletes.
