I don't like seeing Manti Te'o associated with our CFB thread anymore. So, I'm starting a new one.
The Minnesota Star-Tribune did a nice piece about Gary Andersen:
http://www.startribune.com/sports/gophe ... 07511.htmlThe B1G released their 2016-2017 schedules. 2016 is brutal for Bucky: @Michigan, @MSU, OSU are the crossovers. Plus Va Tech and possibly LSU in the non-conference schedule (though LSU is up in the air).

I like that the Big 10 is adding a conference game. And I like that we appear to be upgrading our non conference schedule. I think Anderson is going to be a great coach. Can't wait for the season.

How long will it take Badger fans to learn how to spell Andersen's name correctly?

New Bane-inspired facemask Ra'shede Hageman will be sporting this year.

As soon as the Gophers win a bowl game.

Hey! I've had it right since the Andersen rumors started!

ESPN just released their 2015 player rankings. #1 player in the 2015 class is a DE from Minnesota. Pretty crazy considering just a few years ago Seantrel Henderson was also #1. Minnesota isn't known for producing top end talent like that. Hopefully this kid turns out better than Henderson though.

He was a nicely rated player coming out of high school, but not a 5 star and not in contention for #1 in the country.

I mean if that's what you're talking about, Minnesota has basically what I'd expect for 5-star recruits. They've had a handful in the past decade?
Who has been in Wisconsin other than Oglesby and Clay?

Was Joe Thomas a 5 star in high school? I really don't follow high school recruiting obviously by the time he finished at WI he was a stud.

I think Thomas and Watt were both 3-star guys.

My point was essentially that it's crazy that Minnesota has had the top rated high school football prospect in 2 of the last 4 or 5 years. That's something you'd expect from a CA, FL, or TX, not MN. Imagine if Wisconsin had the top high school football player twice in that time span.

Looked it up now that I have time. Rivals had Thomas at 4 stars and Watt at
2 stars.

Yeah he was but not 5 star(on rivals) or #1 which was the original discussion.

You knew it would happen at some point, just a matter of which team would do it. Memphis unveils their new helmets which are essentially mirrors...

Danny O'Brien transfers to Catawba College in Division II. A division much more suited for his talents.
