Apparently, Tyrann Mathieu has been stellar in Cardinals camp so far.

According to a report from Ron Wolfley at ArizonaSports.com, scouts and coaches are floored.

One scout called Mathieu "pound for pound, the best player on the field."

Wolfley, a former player himself, wrote, "I could not be any more impressed."

Mathieu is a helluva player if he just could stay sane.

I'll believe it when the games start. He wasn't a good cover guy in college; I'll be surprised if he's suddenly NFL caliber.

Strikes me more as a late career Charles Woodson type than a lockdown corner. When I watched him in college he really had a nose for the ball... interceptions, forcing fumbles, putting big hits on guys, making impact plays, etc. If he moves over to safety maybe even a Bob Sanders type guy.

I couldn't believe babre was still in the league. Honestly one of the worst players I've ever seen in the nfl.

Ball looking small in Denver tonight, and to this point not making a positive impression. Glad TT didn't homer draft him like we did back in the day.

I do hope he has a nice NFL career though.
