Bengals are a decent but not great team. It's always tough on the road and we're banged up still but there is no reason we can't win this game.

Honestly, my biggest concern this game is the TE's, assuming Hayward and Burnett are both out. I think both Gresham and Eifert can beat us down the middle of the field.

The Bengals DL is good, but their secondary can be exposed if Rodgers gets time. I don't expect us to run much in this game, our OL will have issues blocking their front 7, that's the strength of their team.

Pass rush needs to show me something this game. Cincy has a good amount of weapons but Dalton is just so so under pressure. I know we played gap contain vs. SF but our pass rush wasn't very good against Washington either. We will need a rush in this one.

Their front 7 is as good as it gets in the NFL.

Packers #1 in yards per play through week 2 (7.5).

Exactly this.

If we can put pressure on Dalton we will win this game with ease. If we give him time in the pocket consistently then they are either going to win easily or it will be close.

The question for this game is who will be the MVG?

Close maybe, I don't see any scenario where the Bengals win easily, the Packers pretty much never get blown out with Rodgers at the helm.

I am not afraid of Dalton. I do think he has good weapons around him, but I think we can keep them in check. This game will come down to how we handle their pass rush.

I keep thinking of the '09 game when Antwon Odom sacked Rodgers 5 times.

I can't wait to see how the Bengals get Atkins matched up on EDS.

Also looking forward to the Kuhn vs. Harrison matchup.

A.J. Green is an ascending BEAST, and Sanu is a decent #2 that can stretch the field too. Dalton's not great, but with the talent he has around him, he's good enough. With Cincinnati's two TE's working the middle, this could look a lot like the SF game, with GB's safeties getting abused, and the GB defense not being able to get off the field. I think this is going to be a very difficult match-up for GB.

It will be interesting to see if GB goes with Shields and House on the outside, and Tramon working the slot, again. That might give them the best chance to defend the middle of the field.

Yeah. I caught that live during the game. Jolly got completely destroyed. It is extraordinarily rare for a guy that big to get annihilated like that in what was basically a one on one (he was doubled briefly at the beginning of the play, but it had little to do with him getting destroyed). It is possible Jolly was a little winded since he's still working himself back into shape and that he let himself get way too high. Regardless, that was embarrassing. At some point during that he just needed to plant and try to make a stand instead of letting himself get run backwards until he fell over.

I was also happy to see Banjo get some PT just to see what he could do, but he blew the tackle on that play. He had the chance to break down and make a nice form tackle and hold the run to 8-10 yards, but instead he barely slowed Morris. Then again, later in the game he badly missed on another tackle in a similar situation which allowed another big play.

If your safeties can't come up and fill and make tackles in situations like that to hold gains to 10 yards or so instead of 30+ or whatever, that is a huge hole in the D.

I've mentioned numerous times how much I like our current front 7, but the tackling from our CBs and safeties is a problem. If our DBs could simply make the tackles you'd expect a competent DB to make, we'd have a top flight defense. The jury is still out if they can tackle like that. I've been very disappointed in our safeties in particular. I was happy to see Banjo get a shot since he looked like a very solid tackler in the PS, and then he had two really bad missed tackles.

Our safeties really need to improve their tackling over the course of this season or we will always be prone to giving up big plays regardless of how well our front 7 and our CBs are playing.

It's pretty sad when Sam Shields is one of the best tacklers in your secondary, but he has been this year. That also testifies to how far he's come as a tackler, to be fair.

Shields has been the best player in the secondary so far.

I'm almost positive that's the play Jolly hurt his shoulder. I think it had more to do with pain and the fear or getting injured than the Redskins line man.
