Pack/Lions Lead Up - Clay Practices Thursday

Lions are a decent team, haven't won in Wisconsin since 1991. It will be interesting to see how our injured guys are doing. Hopefully Finley, Lacy, Matthews, Hayward and Burnett are back. That would be sweet indeed.
A loss would be disastrous.

I'm predicting a blowout win, and agree that a loss would be disasterous. All of the intangibles (at home, after a bye week, coming off a loss vs. them coming off of a big home win) are in our favor.

I could see a game like what happened in the win over Washington. Maybe Lions get a garbage time TD to get to 27 points, but I just can't see us losing this. Really hope everyone is back starting this week. Fingers crossed for no setbacks injury wise that seem to pop up with our guys during the week.
I'll be very depressed if they manage to lose this one. This team always comes out of bye weeks very well and I just can't see that changing this week.

Yeah, I think we win and win big. No excuses for us not to put up a 40-spot on that sad secondary. With the type of motivation our guys should be playing with, anything less than a two score win and I'd be disappointed.

Only thing that worries me about the Lions is Reggie Bush.
Should be able to score 40 against them no problem, unless Suh drop kicks Rodgers in the balls or something (actually semi likely).

I wouldn't put it past Suh to try and pinch a couple balls in the pile.

From what I am hearing Burnett should be back but Hayward is still iffy. Finley and Lacy will be back. With Clay you never know. Everytime he hurts his hammy he says it's no big deal and he'll be back next game but...
Early byes suck but it was probably a good thing. But now we have a LONG stretch with no breaks...
MM said he liked playing Thanksgiving this year, that a Thursday game is almost like getting an extra bye.

It's interesting that we haven't signed anyone to take Ross's place. And that no additional players have been in for a workout since early last week. Perhaps we're going with someone on the practice squad. Or perhaps we've had more workouts that haven't been reported. Most of the beat guys take off bye week themselves...

I'd prefer them not to rush anybody back make sure they're healthy for the rest of the season

I'm hoping this means that maybe we have a guy on the roster that we feel comfortable throwing back there on kick returns (Franklin?). KR you can pretty much stick anyone back there and tell them to take a knee, but PR is where I'd prefer to have somebody with sure hands and good vision.
I know how important Cobb is to the offense, but we saw with Ross how much of a potential game-changer it can be when you have an unreliable guy fielding punts. I'd prefer to roll with Cobb at PR and either Franklin or (my dark horse candidate) Charles Johnson on KR.

I just want a guy that can catch the rock while not pissing himself on PR. Our offense is high powered enough so just having a sure handed guy on PR is satifactory. KR, franklin.
Also, I'm concerned about Finley's concussion. His case is either being blown out of porportion or theres more to it....
I could see him missing time if its this deep.

Haven't heard about how serious Starks' and Franklin's injuries are. I know Franklin returned but he could have been on adrenaline.

Not really game related but it needs to be read and it will be here.
Darren Rovell is a douche with awesome gifs to prove it.

Suh and Fairley are scary talented at the DT spot. We need EDS to have a good game... and for our guards to play at their typical level. If they continuously collapse the pocket, it's going to be rough. But if we give Rodgers time, we should be able to put up 35+ with ease.
Even if we do that though, this could be close. If Burnett and Hayward are out, Stafford will be tough on our questionable secondary.

I deff expect the Packers to win,but this game probably won't be easy.
Like Newz just said above me,if Burnett & Hayward are out combined with our lack of pass rush thus far this season Stafford and Megatron will have some fun vs our defense, especially combined with the Reggie Bush factor the Lions have this season.
Logic says the Packers should win but it could be close, but we'll probably win 42-10 because it's the Lions.
Lions aren't a great team but they never seem to be quite as good as they could be.Solid QB,best WR in the league, rock solid d-line but they never seem to impress.

Like I predicted before Hayward won't play this game. I wouldn't be surprised if he were done for the year.
I expect Burnet to play Sunday - not Matthews.

This game scares me every year because the Lions haven't won at Lambeau since 1991. They are waaaaaaaay over do for a win at our house.
