No Clay, probably no Rodgers, and a severely banged up Eddie Lacy...

I hope he gets to exact his revenge on the Bears next week.

Yeah I know anything can happen in the playoffs and I hate the Bears but it's very hard to get excited about this team right now.

Well now that the Bears laid an egg tonight we can't be the ones responsible for letting them make the playoffs.

Not a chance that Rodgers plays next week. That's coming from very snide sources. So please don't get your hopes up. Flynn is in to lose it.

If Rodgers doesn't play and Lacy is bothered by his ankle the Bears might do to us what the Eagles did to them tonight.
It's cool that the game means something going into it but I just don't see us having much of a chance without Rodgers.

Yeah, it isn't looking good for Rodgers coming back.
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/236935331.htmlMike McCarthy repeatedly said during his Friday press conference that the decision not to play quarterback Aaron Rodgers against the Steelers was made by the organization. Rodgers is recovering from a fractured left collarbone.
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, McCarthy's insistence that the decision was an organizational one came at the prompting of Rodgers and that created some tension between the coach and his starting quarterback.
Mortensen reported his story on ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown."
"A CT scan of Aaron Rodgers' fractured left collarbone still showed extraordinary risk if he returned to the football field today, according to sources," Mortensen said. "So why the emphasis on organizational decision by Packers' coach Mike McCarthy on Friday to the point where McCarthy mentioned it eight or nine times by media count? That's because Rodgers insisted vehemently on a message of organizational decision, sources said, with an emphasis that he is a tough guy. One source says the quarterback's sensitivity that his injury absence would be compared to Brett Favre's reputation for toughness was a driving force behind McCarthy's message, which created a palpable tension between the coach and the quarterback. And sources say McCarthy clearly understood Dr. Patrick McKenzie's unwillingness to give Rodgers medical clearance and there was no real organizational decision about it. It was medical."

What I've been told, which is basically from the doctors mouth, is that you can still see a clean break in the scan. The decision to hold him out is all Thompson though.

Hm. I was under the impression that it was a fracture, not a clean break. Maybe that's just semantics, but it's surprising to me that he's coming up on the latter end of the 6-8 week prognosis and there is still a clean break on the scan. I'm obviously not a doctor, though.

FWIW, we only lost by a score without Rodgers last time and our offense looked like a chicken with it's head cut off for most of the game.

I'll give my collarbone to Rodgers for Christmas. I don't really need it.

I'm not an insider with the bucks, but I have a direct connection with pat Mckenzie and it's a clean break. Surgery would require him out a year and that's right from his mouth. With that said it's not him holding him out. It's all on tt. Rodgers is beyond pissed at everyone right now.

TT can make lineup decisions like that???

The only guy that can over rule tt is Murphy and he stays out of personal decisions. Rodgers has a clean break, Mckenzie has stated the risks, Rodgers is pissed, tt has the decision. Nth at is coming from a Christmas gathering tonight. Now I'm done talking.

It's always his call, ultimately.

So are you saying the Packers have been lying to the media? If we was out for 12 weeks, what point would they have keeping him on the roster/creating a controversy?

Well if that's true then I can't blame TT at all. You can't send a guy in there with a clean break in his collarbone.
