Potentially 2 really good games. I hate all four teams so that sucks. I like Wilson but hate everyone else there. I guess I root for Denver, I'm a Manning fan and would like to see him get another ring. And whoever they beat in the SB I hope it's an agonizing loss that will eat Harbaugh or Carroll for years.

If the 49ers or Seahawks won the Super Bowl, do you think their team would have to immediately give them a new, more substantial contract? I just can't see a young QB like that winning the Super Bowl and still making peanuts. That would be a silver lining if one of those two teams won it all.

Likewise, except I think that the Peyton fap-fest would be unbearable if the Broncos won. I don't think I could watch espn or go on any national sports sites for the next 2 months. He's still incredibly overrated in my book.

I hope that San Fran gets to the Super Bowl, only to suffer an embarrassing loss to the Patriots so that Harbaugh will never live it down. I don't think I've ever had so much disdain for a coach as much as that clown. He's a completely classless d-bag and I hope he never wins the big one. He makes Belichick look like a stand-up guy.

Don't you guys think the ESPN "fap-fest" would be much worse if New England wins? Brady will have 4 super bowl wins, probably 3 SB MVPs. ESPN will be all about, "Brady is the best ever!!!"

That being said, I wouldn't mind that scenario where NE beats Harbaugh and the 9ers.

I'm rooting for DEN... They were my pre-season pick and I'm sticking with them. I don't want either SEA or SF to win it all.

True, but at least Brady has the credentials to back up such a claim. Just think of how many MORE commercials Peyton will be in if he wins...... :uhoh:

No. The Packers didn't give a top-flight extension to Rodgers or Matthews until they absolutely had to. Barring a holdout, I think those teams would be wise to wait until they had no choice.

I loved Russell Wilson as a Badger, then started to despise him after the Fail Mary. I can't help but want to start rooting for him again every time I see him hold up that Badgers shirt in his AmFam commercials. I'm going to root for him to succeed, and if the Seahawks win it, at least it'll be a team that's never won a Super Bowl before.

I'm not sure, but when they changed the rules regarding rookie contracts a few years ago, didn't they make it a league rule that there can be no restructuring; that the player has to play out the rookie contract, with no possibility of salary increase, until his RFA year ( or something like that)???

Rooting for the 49ers, if they lose then I will be rooting for the Seahawks in the Owl. I can't really stand New England or Denver.

I don't root against him, I root against Seattle. It's a combination of the fail mary, Pete Carroll and having too many friends in Seattle.

I could care less what a player did in college if that is what you are getting at. I've said multiple times I'd love to get Borland. I was also a supporter of drafting O'Brien Scholfield despite his knee injury before the draft.

I don't think there's ever been a season where I've hated all four teams going into championship weekend. If I had to choose, I guess it would be Seattle for Russell Wilson and Denver for Montae Ball.

I know, but you're not going to root for a player BECAUSE he was a Badger. That was my point.

The rookie pay makeover did not stop there. All drafted players must now sign four-year contracts, eliminating the entire category of the fourth-year restricted free agent. Further, there are no renegotiations of rookie contracts until after a player's third year, removing any holdout possibilities for a high-performing young player before his fourth year. The new rookie pay system is written as though the owners were given a blank slate to achieve what they wanted.

Kaepernick will get extended since he was drafted in 2011. Wilson has to wait until next year, so even if they win the 'Owl, Russ is going to be playing for peanuts for another season.

I'm rooting for Denver. F the Colts for giving up Manning for Luck. Granted it is going to give the Colts 20+ years of good QB play, I still think it was pretty crappy to dump Manning the way they did. They could of traded Luck for the Browns entire draft + multiple 1sts and reloaded with Peyton.

Eh, while it looks like Denver has the short-term gains as you say and the better QB, there was also the thought that Manning may never have been the same. I don't blame the Colts at all. Not apples to apples but plenty of fans flipped out when the Packers jettisoned their long-standing QB at 37 years old for the next wave. The Colts took their 36 year old QB and wondered whether he'd ever be healthy enough to play again.

To bring over an argument from other threads, the Colts also got a stud QB for about, what, 4 million/year for 4 years to fill out the rest of the roster while Denver had to go 20 million/year? So far in hindsight I'd be happy in Denver's position but I wouldn't flame the Colts for it.

Despite Manning being a game away from the Super Bowl, I'd still easily rather be in the Colts situation right now. Elite, young QB who looks like he is only going to get better on a cheap contract and in his early 20's. They should be able to win it all at least once with Luck... especially with Brady, Manning and Brees all getting older, plus Rodgers already being over 30.

I'm probably rooting for Seattle and New England. Despite the fap fest that Brady gets I still really like him (probably because everyone hates him).

It will be a great day when those two teams give them huge deals.
