Could be a steal if he doesn't get knocked out for good with a concussion.

Abbrederis is a fifth-year senior and a three-year starter. He is a former walk-on who earned his scholarship. He is a very productive guy who got better every year culminating in a breakout year in 2013 with 78 catches for 1,081 yards. Abbrederis has good size at 6-1, 195 with good overall speed and athleticism. He is more fast than quick, but he has quick feet and very good overall body control. He is not the most explosive guy, but he makes up for that with his body control. He has a good release and is able to fight through jams. He gets into his routes quickly and can break down and get in and out of cuts quickly to gain separation. He is very good with double moves and multi-cut routes. Abbrederis is consistent as both a short and deep receiver. He catches the ball in his hands and shows he can adjust to make the difficult catch. On longer routes, he shows deceptive speed and has a burst to the ball. After the catch, he is a good runner with instincts but lacks top power. He is very willing as a blocker and can be effective. There is a lot to like about Abbrederis' game. He has size and speed and is very competitive. He should be able to play either X or Z at the next level. I see him coming into the league and being a third or fourth receiver who will develop into a starter by his second year. Though he did some punt returning at Wisconsin, I don't see him as more than a backup returner at the next level. He is not a special player, but he is a good one.

Abby had this remarkable ability to be wide open 90% of the time. If Wisconsin had a decent QB he would have put up huge numbers (and no concussions).

His games against OSU and PSU were amazing by Abby. Unfortunately, Stave couldn't throw it in the ocean against PSU, but Abby was running free all game.

They did have a decent qb, thus he did put up huge #'s, when you factor in a little time missed on being on a primary run team.

I like the pick. He torched Roby, who went in the first round. He had a knack for getting open constantly with a chance to run a complete route. Now we have to hope he can get that kind of time with Lacy keeping defenses honest, and improved pass blocking, or he can adapt otherwise. I think he doesn't belong in the slot because his best ability get open deep. So ideally he plays on the outside, either as the backup, or possibly starter if he impresses more than Adams and Boykin.

With losing Driver, Jennings, and Jones it was time to reload at WR. This is a nice pick to go with Adams

Sorry, Stave is NOT a decent QB, I am with the rest on that, hope he never plays again.

Not to get into a Badger pissing match, but Stave's inaccuracy cost Abby tons of yards and a few touchdowns.

LOL. Talk about Abbrederis, say he can learn from one white receiver and then compare him to two white receivers.

Outstanding in play action early on in his career, but faded the 2nd half of his 2nd season, mostly in the polar vortex weather. He's kind of in limbo now, but overall, all things considered, I think he was still decent. Everybody else who played the last couple years were vastly inferior. That should say something.

I think people just took for granted him identifying the open man deep so often, maneuvering his feet away from the rush to get off the throw, and then putting his receiver in a position to make a play with an under-thrown but catchable ball. Many other qb's would have not seen the deep receiver as much, not moved in the pocket enough to throw it, or over-thrown plenty of those balls so the offense got zero yards instead of 40.

Abbrederis was a stud at UW regardless, and the QB's the last few years outside DOB and Phillips allowed him to show that.
