Sounds like James White is doing well in New England. Happy for him, hope he can win the job.

Need to see the guaranteed figures, obviously. But if Andy Dalton is getting a 6/$115 deal, then Aaron Rodgers is massively underpaid.

Yeah, I've been a Dalton optimist, but that deal is looking pretty ridiculous.

that's interesting. I wonder if the real reason he's not a packer coach will eventually come out.

Looks like Dalton's deal isn't as terrible as it sounded:

Unimpressive debut for Bridgewater.

He said he would help them for a weekend and still stated, "I am a father first."

Probably like that coach the Bucks hired for SL. His name is slipping my mind right now. I'm fine with Greene becoming a bit of a freelance coach. It's not like he'll be going around telling all the Packers secrets.

Opening kickoff, Jeremy Ross returns it to near midfield. Where the **** was this as a Packer?

ESPN already on Manziel watch on their homepage. This is going to be Tebow all over again.

Yup. Nauseating thing is Manziel actually has some talent and could possibly live up to at least some of the hype. The amount of coverage he gets now is bad enough. If he takes off? Oh boy.

The Texans could be the next 0-16 team. Likely go 2-14 or somehow manage 3 wins but 0-16 wouldn't surprise me. Either way, they will be awful again.

Greene had an amazing clip of audio in the Super Bowl and immediately became a legendary coach. I have no idea if he's a good coach or not but is overrated based on the limited knowledge we have

The next Aaron Rodgers:

Rodgers, that: Geno Smith said recently he expects to be a top-five quarterback in a year or two. When he gets there -- if he gets there -- he figures his style of play will resemble someone already in that elite fraternity -- Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers.

"I liken myself to him," Smith told ESPN.com. "He throws a great ball and he's very accurate in the pocket, but he's also skilled enough to run around. He's got enough speed to score when it's there. I think I'm pretty fast -- I think I can run pretty good -- but I also want to be one of those guys that can play from the pocket."

Certainly nothing wrong with wanting to model your game after the best QB in football. Don't think Smith has that skill level but then again, who saw Rodgers becoming as incredible as he is after those first few years where he looked godawful in those preseason games? Hard to believe now I was dreading the end of the Favre era and having such uncertainty behind him. Rodgers could have floundered and we'd be maybe just now getting back to relevancy after some top draft picks. Pretty crazy how things turn out.

All of that and Geno will get a front row seat to what he wants to become in week two :D

Browns sign Sexy Rexy.

Not even sure I am going to watch the NFL this year. Probably not worth it with guys like Sexy Rexy, Hoyer the Destroyer and J-Foot putting together a Super Team that puts the likes of the Miami Heat to shame. Cleveland officially the most dominant city in sports history now.
