I don't see how we lose this one at home but you can't take anything for granted. Need a solid win and no more injuries. Three division games follow.

Must win. Can't pull a Bears and drop a game like this at home.

I expect a win. Need to play sound defensively. Should pick off Smith at least twice. The jets really have no playmakers on offense.

Not at all worried about the loss to Seattle. I will be worried if we lose this one though. I expect our offense to come out and explode, but the part of the game that worries me is defense. The Jets had a big week on the ground with Ivory (10-102) and Johnson (13-68) going crazy.
Our defense is light in the pants along the line and our middle linebackers continue to look weak. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets put up 150-250 yards on the ground and keep the ball out of Rodgers' hands to force this game to be close.
As much as the Jets aren't good and they have a weak QB, this will be a big test. Can we stop their running game? Will we let their mobile QBs put together a few huge plays? Because if some of the problems we have had in the past come up in this one, I think the Jets could steal one.
That being said, I think we come out extremely motivated and roll.
Packers - 31
Jets - 17

When will we know if Lacy is playing?

I have a feeling we won't know anything about Lacy until late in the week, probably Friday. I'm glad we have the extra 3 days.

The Packers have usually made a player clear concussion protocol by Thursday and then be full participants in practice on Friday in order to play so my guess is that is the timeline.
As much as Lacy is a beast I think we can be okay with Starks/Harris as the backs and that isn't a huge concern of mine. Sherrod looking good and keeping Rodgers upright is a far bigger concern.
That being said the Jets are pretty bad, they barely beat the Raiders who should be pretty bad.
We should win this game and if we don't then we can start worrying.

Jets will get 150 yards rushing as a team and control the clock

I expect a convincing win after the way we were outplayed against Seattle. And that's no indictment against the Jets, who I think are gonna surprise some people this year.
It's just that this team should be playing angry and I think our pass rush can have a huge game against their line. The key will obviously be how are run D looks against a decent backfield of Johnson and Ivory.

I don't understand why they keep putting Brad out there when is obvious as day that he performs like a **** when he is just a bit injured.

Jets corners are absolutely awful. Good run d though. If we run Lacy 30 times we aren't paying attention. This is a game where you spread them out.

Geno sucks. I'll be more concerned if Vick gets in the game.

Will be watching Brad Jones. Gotta think the coaches will be looking hard too. If he doesn't play a lot better, won't they need to be put a new ILB in for Det and Chi?

I don't know if Lattimore or Barrington can be "the guy", but I'd have to imagine that they mix them in more/reduce Jones' snaps by a significant amount.
I've had my reservations about Capers' player usage and personnel packages over the years, but he seriously needs to change it up if only to get something different out of our ILB's. I don't think you can play any worse run defense than we did last game...

I don't think the Jets O can keep up with Rodgers, but nevertheless we can't expect to roll over anybody. Stop the run and trust the secondary. Ivory has always been a good, underrated runner and Johnson is still a home run threat.

Against the Seahawks, Lacy forced a staggering nine missed tackles on both runs (6) and passes (3), good for a 0.60 missed tackles/touch rate.
For more context as to how impressive this performance is against the defending champs, consider this: only twice in 2013 did the entire Seahawks defense miss nine or more tackles in an entire game. Those came against the Buccaneers in week 9 (10 misses) and against the Vikings in week 11 (9).

Commin off a disappointing week 1 in Seattle with this being the home opener if there was a game to pick the Packers going away this would be it. While the Seattle game was disappointing not every team is Seattle.... Hell even Seattle isn't Seattle when they don't have that crowd backing them up but I digress.
The Jets can be had on the back end on defense so this a game where you'll see the Packers spread them out to take advantage of it. Don't think you'll see us try to run the ball then more is needed just to keep the D honest especially if Lacey ends up not playing. Honestly I don't really see a point to be all that concerned with there O all that much. It's stop the run and we stop them. And their running game isn't nearly as good as Seattle's and when you throw in the fact they don't even have the threat of the pass we should be in good shape
Now while we're all mostly still down after last weeks debacle there were some bright spots that hopefully should carry over to this game. Lynsley held up fine and should only get better having shaken off the 1st week jitters. Honestly I thought the line held up considering the defense we were going up against and Bulaga going down so I'm probably less concerned then some about it. One more injury on the OLine and it'll be a different story though.
But the big thing is that Ha Ha at least for one week looks to have a nose for the football and if I'm not mistaken pretty much replaced Hyde even in the base defense in the game. Been raving about Ha Ha since we drafted him and am even more encouraged about him being the player I think he can be. If he becomes a playmaker in that secondary it'll have a much bigger impact on the defense as whole then most people would give credit for.
Like I said not every team is Seattle in Seattle. We dropped a game early. Time to move on. We're still one of the best teams in the NFC despite last Thursday night. If we can jump out to a 10+ lead early this game could get ugly real quick

I think New York will give us fits with their two headed running game of Ivory/Johnson. I think our defense up the middle is atrocious. With that said I don't expect them to do much else in the passing game. We should win this by a couple scores.
