We won, it was painful but we won.

Held them to 100 yards in the 2nd half.

Scrap the 3-4 looks and embrace the 4-3.

Profit.

Definitely room for some optimism. Sometimes it's hard to play well right out of the gate w/ limited game action in the preseason and our especially relevant fear of injuries.

My hope is that the offense becomes nearly indefensible if Adams emerges (hopefully a TE as well) and Ted actually goes out and gets a lineman at the deadline on defense. Would love an ILB as well but barring injury that ship has sailed until the offseason.

The switch may be the way to go as well. But we still need somebody else if this defense is to have a prayer of delivering when it really matters.

I have to give the gameball to AJ Hawk and Lattimore, who combined for 17 tackles.

Or I guess Jordy.

BTW, congrats to Burnett for having his first game in a long while.

Jordy would be the player of the game for me. He was forced to make a number of ridiculous grabs. We were having trouble getting anyone open, and AR was just throwing passes to him with the expectation that Jordy would adjust and snag extremely tough passes. It was almost sandbox with them at times.

We scored 31 while getting nothing in the passing game from our TEs, RBs, or backup WRs (until Adams started getting snaps) all while our running game was an afterthought.

I saw a few different thing on twitter that boykin was benched for Adams. Anyone know why? Also TE who?

Probably because he couldn't get open. He also had a huge drop when he did have a chance on the pass within the 5 on 3rd down where we ended up having to settle for a FG after his drop. Those are plays he has to make.

Nah. Just a much better scheme. We went full 4-3 in the 2nd half.

I think the 3-4 is dead for GB for the time being.

Mulumba and Hyde both had knee injuries during the game. Will get more tests according to ESPN

Um. I don't know what he's talking about. Does he even NFL?

I don't know how to respond to that since it is so incorrect.

I can't remember a game in which a defense looked that bad in the first half then looked pretty solid in the second half. That first half was brutal defensively.

One of those win is a win games but would have liked to have come out of the gates better.

Adams looks pretty solid.
