Game 6: Pack @ Fish Leadup

Interesting...
Either he got into trouble or maybe something is a brewing. Strange to just cut him for no reason.
I want to see how the injuries are doing. Datone says he is fine. Boykins has to start getting better at some point. McCarthy was optimistic on Boyd practicing on Wednesday. Barrington has a hammy and the forgotten man, Tretter, can start practicing in one week.

Has Boykin been getting the Brad Jones treatment? Hurt but also just playing like crap so left inactive/rehabbing until we desperately need them?

Groins can take a while. I think he's just hurt.
Now that I think about it, maybe they're clearing a spot a few weeks in advance for Tretter?

I don't know how he's been grading out, but I'm pretty pleased with Linsley. I think a couple of the calls on him were bunk. I'm not so sure I'd put Tretter in just yet.

Yeah, Adams seems to have really taken over that 3rd WR role. Boykin just hasn't looked like he can get separation against NFL corners. I'm hoping that by the end of the year, Adams and Janis are our 3rd and 4th wide outs respectively.
As for Taylor being released, it's about time. Guy was never anything more than an average ST player and occasionally a serviceable blocking TE. Hopefully this means Bostick is ready to contribute more. Stoneburner possibly being promoted from the practice squad perhaps?

They'll need to put Tretter on the 53 or they'll have to IR him. They may just be proactive in this. Linsley has been grading out very nicely in run blocking but still has work to do pass blocking, he's given up 6 hurries. For being a rookie though, his pass blocking has been good. Taylor has been a waste and was over-hyped for his ST contributions. His run blocking was okay one year, 2012, and seemed to be living off of that.

What about a Jermichael Finley return?

Forget that....Just read this on RotoWorld
There has reportedly been "lingering interest" from teams, most recently from the Ravens after losing Dennis Pitta, but Finley is in the process of claiming $10 million on an insurance policy after suffering his career-threating neck injury last season. That process will take months, making it virtually impossible for him to play. Finley simply can't pass a physical at the moment.

Ryan Taylor will be best remembered for this post-Cowboys victory dance.

Ryan Taylor is a special teams player that commits penalties. Not really a huge loss there. I'm actually stunned he lasted on this roster for as long as he did.
I think Boykin's legitimately hurt but there's no doubt that Adams should supplant him as the #3 WR when he's back.

Btw I think Stoneburner was waived a few weeks back. Bunch of guys were waived around the start of the season. Him, the undrafted free agent RBs, I think Joe Thomas the linebacker too.

This is a game we should win but after 3 straight division games and 2 big wins I worry about a letdown. We got a gift from Chicago and Detroit on Sunday, need to keep winning.

I think we win handedly, just pray that Cameron Wake doesn't murder Rodgers.

I think our offense keeps rolling and scores 27+. This game will be decided by our defense. Can they keep improving and become serviceable or do they slip back into the abyss?

You really like projecting this, as seen by the fantasy football thread. He said he said it's another month last week.
I do see that he's practicing in a brace. If he does play this week, it means nothing to me. Lamar Miller is just as good as him, just slightly more prone to fumbling probably.

He said this and was joking. He will play and considering how bad our run defense is that scares me. 134 yards against the Pats at 5.6 per carry and a TD before going down.

I think our offense keeps rolling in the warm weather and our defense can do enough against Ryan Tanehill. I'll be very disappointed if we let a below average offense like theirs torch us after an impressive showing against the Vikes, but I realize that it's always a possibility with a defense like ours.
Miami has a good front seven and mauled Brady in Week 1, so the key is protecting Rodgers. Jordy vs. Finnegan should be a good matchup.

Lamar Miller is averaging 5.7 YPC this year. They are a good running team and it doesn't matter which one is in. They are both above-average RBs but not on the level of Shady, Charles, or AP that I'd scheme around.
Moreno ain't in Denver anymore. No more 6-man boxes and 3 1-yard fantasy TD plunges/game.
