How smart is Aaron Rodgers?

Wow. This is some terrific insight into the mind of Aaron Rodgers as he's walking from the huddle to before he snaps the ball.

No wonder sometimes you see him standing behind the center shouting, hand signaling, looking, and letting the play clock get down to about zero.

I used to think, "Man, for a hurry up no huddle offense, Rodgers sure does bleed the play clock down to below 5-10 seconds a lot." And I'm not talking about when we have a 21 to 0 lead. Even if hurry up (non 2 minute drill) I've seen the play clock run down and Rodgers taking some time under center before the ball is snapped.

I realize he's also calling audibles, calling fake audibles, calling protections, trying to get the D to jump offsides and other things as well.

I'm never going to question why he needs that 20-40 seconds ever again. :D

Every once in a while I'll hear my brother talk about his playbook or what he's trying to get his kids to understand when he's coaching, it's all stuff Rodgers mentions, and I think ain't no way Jay Cutler is processing any of that.
