Falcons Post-Game

Lost in how bad the D was, is how the offense has folded up shop in the 2nd half the past couple of weeks.

How do you let Julio Jones just run all over the field uncovered? Its not like he was making spectacular catches, guys were nowhere near him on most of those receptions.

Terrible.

Packers went to sleep at halftime. They can't do that in Buffalo.

We won but I'm pissed. We're going to lose next week if we play like that. Buffalo has a good D and if our D plays like that we are giving up 30 at minimum.

Way too much complacency in the second half. Baffling after how well they played last week against an elite team. Should be a good reality check to bring that type of performance every week. Gotta do that come playoff time.

Embarrassing. Flashes of 2011 defense. Terrible just terrible. Ryan wasnt even looking at any other WR when julio was in the game. It was ridiculous. And JJ was wide open down after down. No help. No extra attention

Eh, I would have liked a sharper 2nd half but I feel like this is going to be blown out of proportion. The defense definitely sucked it up, but sometimes you just have a **** game.

Julio torched Patrick Peterson last week too. He's had a great two weeks that's for sure.

Seattle still believes that they are the best team after tonight. And with reason.

Yeah, everyone is jumping on the Seattle train. Good for them. I'd like to know what they have done recently that the Packers haven't. Beat the Eagles? Yeah, the Packers did that. Beat the 49ers? Yeah, the Raiders did that.

And I'm not saying Seattle isn't good, but their schedule has been any tougher than ours.

Look what the Seattle D has done the past three weeks. They have kept all three opponents to season lows in total yardage. That is what they have done recently that the Packers haven't.

Buffalo has Orton at QB and no Julio Jones, they aren't scoring 30 plus next week. If they manage to pull an upset, it very likely would be some ugly lower scoring type of game in the high teens/20's.

Seattle is the best team and it isn't even close.

This defense can't stop the run. It can't stop mobile QBs. It won't stop guys like Doug Baldwin getting clutch passes.

I don't know why Packer fans want to play these guys. It'll be NYG or SF all over again.

Those guys will probably repeat and we'll witness history.

They do have Sammy Watkins who has had games of

8/117 vs Miami

9/122 vs Minnesota

3/157 at NYJ

7/127 at Denver

So, they held the Drew Stanton led Cardinals, minus Fitzgerald, to their season low yardage? They kept the Eagles to 6 less points than the Packers while scoring 29 less points against them? It's not a literal, 1:1 question. They do some things better than the Packers and vice versa.

Yes, the Seahawks are good. So are the Packers. Boop.

Still too early to say who the best team is. Things change too much, month to month and even week to week. I'd much rather the Packers be the best team in February than be the best team in November or even early December. Who would have said the Packers were the best team in December of the Super Bowl year? Or the Ravens two years ago?

Defense wasn't good in the second half, but some mitigating facts:
1) Julio Jones is really good. He scorched Patrick Peterson a week ago.
2) The Falcons offense isn't bad: great WR, very good veteran QB, solid elsewhere.
3) The Falcons converted 3 out of 3 4th downs, going for them because they were down by multiple scores.

Would have been really helpful, though, to get more pressure on Ryan in the second half. Where was Mike Daniels and Datone Jones? Didn't really notice pressure from them, but I might have missed it.

Falcons had 93 yards rushing. 23 of them came on two Matt Ryan scrambles. This myth we can't stop the run hasn't been true for a number of weeks now.

Go ahead and think Seattle is the best though. Being the number one underdog seed should be fun for us.

Pack better not let sammy run all over them.

We dont match up that well against a team like seattle. I prefer to avoid them if possible. If we play them i think we have a decent shot at home.

i expect next week to be a 24 to 17 kind of bruising game. Similar to the minny game.
