Sounds like it may have been due to the fact that Seattle had 6 guys on one side of the ball on the onside and he should have requested MM to challenge the play. Nothing for sure yet, just a meeting gone bad sounds like. MM wasn't part of it , so maybe nothing will happen.

It was a violation by the Hawks, need 5 guys on each side of the ball, they had 6 and 4, could have been challenged , was at 2:04, play would have been overturned.

I see that they had 6 and 4 on the kickoff, but how is that illegal?

It's not illegal.

some backup

That's not backup. That's speculation.

At the very least, change the title of your thread until something official gets reported.

It would be hilarious if the Packers were set to fire him for not catching that when there was indeed nothing to catch, lol.

I'd put the chances of that being the reason at seventy-million to one.

Wouldn't the thing be to catch that and call a timeout before they even get the kick off?

Either way, I don't care. Get rid of him and get a competent special teams coach.

He'd be much more likely to be fired based on how awful the kick and punt protection units were this year, as well as how bad Masthay regressed and how inept we were at onside/free kick opportunities.
