Andrew Quarless arrested

Another Packers player may not be available as of Week One.

With Datone Jones suspended and Letroy Guion likely the next to be disciplined, Green Bay tight end Andrew Quarless has joined the march to the sidelines after reportedly being arrested in Miami on Saturday morning.

According to the Miami New Times, Quarless was involved in a fight at South Beach, which allegedly prompted him to fire a gun twice into the ground. He tried to flee, but Quarless was apprehended by a pair of police officers.

A spokesman for the Miami Police Department confirmed the arrest and its detail to the New Times. An incident report is expected to be released later today.

Under the new Personal Conduct Policy, Quarless could be headed for paid leave pending the resolution of these charges and the imposition of league discipline. Thereafter, he’d potentially serve an unpaid suspension.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I read he was hiding behind a plant before trying to run from the cops.

We have no depth at TE. Losing quarless kinda hurts. He's not great but after rodgers is rookies and green players.

Meh I'm not going to get too worked about this. They will cut him if they don't think he can help the team. Otherwise hell pay a fine for being drunk and dumb and everyone will forget this come September.

I like that he was hiding behind a plant. I hope he tried to carry the plant with him as cover when he started to run. Quarless on some Pink Panther ****.

Just roll with Rodgers, Perillo, and Backman. He's sorta useful but not enough to keep him on your roster after this crap.

Been kind of a weird off season for us with 3 players looking like they'll be suspended for Week 1. Good thing all three are role-player/depth guys who won't necessarily be needed against the Bears.

Unless it turns out to be more serious than the report suggests, I doubt that we cut Q given our lack of veteran depth at the position. He'll take a plea deal, pay a fine, and get a 2-game suspension most likely. Guion I'd imagine gets a 2-3 game ban as well.

Some of you getting on the Cowboys- the Packers are becoming thug north. Guy with multiple felony charges, one with drug charges, and now a guy firing a gun at a fight. None of them even great players, but looks like the Packers will keep them. Look how they bent over backwards for Jolly. This team isn't so morally ethical and clean cut as you thought folks. This is happening while on the team. The Cowboys are taking troubled guys from other teams in the headline cases.

Jolly served his time in jail and from the NFL. And how did they bend over backwards?

They took him back - he had been busted twice- 1st time he got a slap on the wrist, second time he got some jail. They accommodated him cause they needed help at the position. I love the Packers and don't really have a problem with any of this stuff, but a lot of fans had thought the Packers were above having players like that on the team - now they have three who will face some sort of suspension this year alone because of run-ins with the law. The Cowboys just do it with higher profile players.
