Falcons @ Aints tonight.
More important, let's get one thing clear about Sammy Watkins - even if his teammate is open, he wants the ball thrown to him.
Sammy Watkins wrote:When I have one-on-one coverage, go to me. I don't care what's going on over there. I don't care if he's open. When I get one-on-one, just target me.

Mike Mauti sighting. I forgot he hadn't died before the Mauti Memorial Penn State threw against the Badgers a few years ago.

Saints have just about wasted a great start. Their defense is terrible but the offensive play calling has been bad after the first drive. Falcons suck at rushing the passer, how about some throws downfield instead of a handoff that results in yards lost?

To be fair, I believe the ATL center snapped that ball into his ass. Still funny either way.

Great week for anyone betting.
NE vs IND line opened 7.5, is now 10.5. I don't think you can make this line big enough - Indy BARELY beat 2 bad teams, NE is on fire, and you can bet BB will get his revenge for deflategate.
GB opened at 9.5, now 10.5 too. Pretty much the same thing, only you get the favorite at home, with a team probably worse than Indy.
I personally like the Dolphins +1.5 in a bounce back game after firing Philben vs. a bad team on the road.

Hoping Saints get another TD here and JJ starts tearing it up against the prevent like he did against us last year.

Our TE situation can be summed up by me not knowing Watson was still in the league at the beginning of the year, but I'd love to have him on our team.

Picked the Saints in my pool and gave them 14 points.
Have Brees in fantasy football and can use another TD.
Brandin Cooks can suck it. I really expected so much more from him.

And then there were 5...Only 2 UNDEFEATED teams left in the NFC, Panthers and Packers and I will be rooting for the Panthers @ Seattle.
I don't want Seattle in the playoffs, at minimum I want them as a wildcard playing away the entire post season.
2-4 would be excellent and put them 3-4 losses away from being out of the playoffs completely.
Packers, Atl/Carolina, Arizona, looking pretty strong for 4 spots: 3 divisional and 1 wildcard. NFC east will grab 1 divisional spot (giants or Dallas).
Leaving the 2nd place NFC east team, seattle, vikings, and a few others scrambling for the last wc spot.
I'm also hoping denver beats the Browns this sunday, so post bye we have 2 weeks to wait giddily for two 6-0 teams to battle each other to knock it down to final 4 of undefeated teams. Unless Panthers lose to Philly in Week 8 and Cincy loses to Buffalo this Sunday.
Hoping Packers, Denver, Panthers take care of business.

I'm actually pretty amazed how bad the NFC is this year.
Falcons are wildly overrated - no defense and Matty "Ice Cold When It Matters" Ryan.
The Panthers are going to lose a bunch of games coming up real quick.
The salary cap has finally caught up with Seattle - that team has no depth, and easily the worst offensive line in the NFL.
AZ is good, but clearly beatable.
Dallas has a chance if they get healthy.
We've already had a bunch of injuries and thanks to our depth, you can literally barely tell. The NFC is going to have to run through Lambeau this year to get to the SB - and I can't freaking wait

I don't think that the NFC is necessarily weak. There's just a lack of truly "elite" teams this year, regardless of conference. You have Green Bay and New England.....then everybody else. This is the modern NFL after all, where parity reigns supreme.
I do however, think people are underrating Carolina a bit too much. So long as Kuechly is healthy, that defense is less than two years removed from a dominant 13-3 season where they were absolutely shutting down opponents. Cam, as usual, is better than his "stats" say he is, and can put up enough points on offense basically all by himself.
Ultimately, the Calvin Benjamin injury probably caps their ceiling as a playoff rather than Super Bowl contender, but I trust Carolina way more than I trust Atlanta. Especially if that defense is still legit come January.
