Vikings Postgame: On to Washington

If we beat Washington and the Vikings beat Seattle at home, we go to Carolina in Round 2. I'd prefer that. The two teams I don't want to see in these playoffs are Arizona and Seattle.
Ah, who am I kidding. We're not going anywhere. This offense is a disaster.

I always used to be in the "make the playoffs and anything can happen" crowd. Really hard to believe in that right now though.

They'd have to be hiding the most shockingly potent attack of all time to make me think that they're going anywhere.
I think what we have is what we have. A great QB that's playing like **** and a defense that's been better this season but isn't good enough to take us to an Owl.

Packers are easily the worst of the 12 playoff teams. This week, I do not want to hear about anything other than why or why not the Washington Redskins, need to change their team name

That's where i'm at. I think we have a championship caliber D, but the offense can't be relied upon until we're down 14 and they start to open it up.

Only negative is having to hear from Vikings fans who think winning the division means something.

Do some of you still think John Schneider wouldn't be an upgrade?

Wasting a time out like that at the end is pretty much my last straw with McCarthy.
I mentioned it in the game thread, we used a 2nd round pick on a Wildcat QB in Cobb and the most creative thing McCarthy has done with him is hand off the ball to him. You would think when your offense is stalling you would try to get a little experimental.

How much cap room do we save if we cut Cobb? He hasnt done anything this year and is not worth what we are paying him.

Like I said I'd fire him before next weeks game.

The sooner this season is over with the happier I will be.

Redskins haven't beaten a team with a winning record all year. Of course, the Packers don't have a winning record since 6-0.

The only chance this team has in the playoffs is if MM has been trolling us for the last half of the season.
Trolling us in the sense that, he doesn't actually think motioning out Kuhn / Lacy / DickRodg from the backfield creates matchup problems.
Trolling us in the sense that he actually realizes the offensive line is garbage and knows he needs to keep some guys in to block.
If I'm MM next week, I come out and run all 4 / 5 WR sets - basically abandon the run, and give Rodgers a chance to win us some games. What we've done this year, hasn't worked. And it won't work in the playoffs.

I'd put the Packers as the second worst playoff team right now, just ahead of the Brian Hoyer led and AFC South fed Houston Texans.

4-6 after the 6-0 start and I'm trying to figure out how we even won 4 games in that stretch.Seems weird that we're playing a playoff game next week.
