What a great victory. So much for our "weak" mental state. Came out horrible, looked like things were going to roll on like they have been for the past two months, go down 11-0 and finish the game on a 35-7 run. Also, in regards to all the speculation about the relationship between Rodgers and McCarthy; Rodgers was displaying joy we have pretty much not seen him display all season and on the sideline he was celebrating with McCarthy and nothing there indicated to me a fractured relationship. Going into Arizona is obviously tough, but our first game will serve as help to us. We obviously know what we did horribly, we'll address it and the fact that there will again be pretty much no expectations for us going into this game and the team playing with a chip on it's shoulders will bode well for us. Hopefully we can keep it rolling. I LIKE THAT!! Go pack go.

So how much do we lose by next week?

Don't care about next week. I'm going to enjoy this win for the next 6 days.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I didn't see that coming. Was great to see Rodgers smiling again. Maybe, just maybe, they figured something out and got their swagger back

Keep playing the up-tempo game letting Rodgers throw it a bunch. The run can come later. No interest in establishing the run and draining the entire first half for 3 FG attempts. Go out firing. Maybe we still lose by 20, but let him sling it like the first half this week.

Think we lose 28-16

That said this victory helps sort of make the season. Very enjoyable game and shut up many high profile Redskin fans.

This fan base, including myself, is so damn spoiled always playing into mid-January. But I'll take it.

It really is incredible. I've been bitching and moaning about TT and McCarthy the past 4-5 weeks and continued to do so after the 11-0 hole. Then, we pull some classic A-Rod/Packers mojo from seemingly out of nowhere (well, actually, it was from out of nowhere) and pull the game out in high style. The defense steps up after losing key pieces in the secondary. Injuries riddling the team the entire season. And, McCarthy has gotten to the 2nd round in the playoffs 5 of the past 6 seasons. That is, frankly, incredible. Yes, we are spoiled. And, dammit, I want another Title. I'm all in.

Any given Sunday. The two games today proved that, so I'm not settling for this defeatist attitude just cuz the Cards blew us out in the regular season.

Our mental toughness has to be OVER 9000!

I'd still like our chances a lot more if TT had signed a vet o lineman for depth and gotten a quality tight end.

But his defensive guys played very well today.

Abbrederis was impressive today. He came in for Adams and was able to make the Redskins respect him long which opened up underneath opportunities. James Jones has played well, but it was clear today that no one in the league respects his deep speed, and that refs are going to continue to allow teams to molest our WRs in the playoffs.

Nice win. There's a little hope after all. Even though it was against the 'Skins, it was nice to see our offense and run game take a step in the right direction. #12 looked like a scared dog early, but regained his mojo after. He's got some confidence again, so who knows what'll happen next week.

McCarthy just saved his job. No way he gets canned now. The D was so fun to watch today, save for Hyde.

It's so important for Rodgers to feel comfortable in the pocket. He actually set his feet before his throws for scores. That, I think, was the difference today

Offensive lineman and deep threat wr you mean. Those were the primary issues with the offense, beyond Rodgers' confidence and the slow tempo. We've been fine without much of a TE before. That's more so a bonus. We needed to secure more big plays and open up the spaces underneath. Janis might have been able to do it but MM never trusted him. And of course we know TT won't fill holes in fa or before the deadline. That's in part why he's only been to the Super Bowl once, as opposed to the plethora of trips for the Pats. He won't identify one or two problems and try to fix them with a win now player. Can't put his head on his bed without 1 or more 3rd rd picks in tow.

That said, I'm higher on their chances against Zona and the rest of the playoffs than you. I think there was a real change in the offensive efficacy today. They were bogged down against many comparable or worse defenses than that this year. And I like Rodgers indoors and warm climates as opposed to frigid. Even though we're better equipped to win in the cold than before with Lacy + Starks, we more don't want to rely on it as anything other than a supplement/change-up to set up the passing game. Also to secure 1st downs. We're a team with a warm climate make-up whose home is in a cold climate still. I'm not sure I would prefer any of the playoff games to be at home, other than vs. Seattle, because of that house of horrors. Playoffs don't line up too bad for us this year to make a run.

Someone should do a wins/playoff wins correlation over the last 23 years when we've had a really good TE on this roster. My initial gut feel is that this team's offense historically sputters without a top tier TE.

The only time we overcame it was 2010 when we were so stacked at WR that Arod was able to work through Jermichaels injury.

The offense was extremely potent the last two years, and we won a lot of games, aside from the Rodgers' injuries. In '07 our TE was Donald Lee. It just helps.
