Average height with a lean frame but his test results in the drills that typically matter for wide receivers ranged from good-to-outstanding: 40-yard dash (4.42), 10-yard split (1.51), vertical jump (38 ½'), broad jump (10'4') and three-cone (6.60). Lights it up quickly after the catch. Slippery runner. Consistently makes the first defender miss. Also has potential to help in return game averaged 24.7 yards per kickoff return with two TDs the past two seasons. Also averaged 8.2 yards on 14 career punt returns.

Looks like he's the new returner based on speed and what he's done in college.

Let's Montgomery focus on being just a WR.

It depends on if you think they cut Abby or not. I would be shocked to see us keep 7 WR, as I doubt they ever have in their history. They aren't cutting Janis.

They'll probably try to get him the ball on WR screens...if he makes the team.

Don't know where he fits on the roster. I assume Janis could be gone

Could be a practice squad guy. Should challenge Abby for the final spot. Not sure about this pick though. First one that hasnt made any sense to me.

Janis is arguably the best gunner in the NFL and had a good end to the season. Be absolutely shocked if he's cut.

At this point in the draft I don't believe TT is thinking like that. You focus on getting a guy you think might be a good football player. You don't know what might happen between now and September, could very well end up getting wrecked by injuries again.

Interesting. Why not take a flyer on Jerell Adams and see if he can't become a slightly less athletic Finley? I don't mind getting WR depth though, as evidenced by last season.

They aren't cutting Janis. Maybe Abby. If he doesn't make the team, stick him on the PS in case of injury.

He's making the team before Abbrederis for sure. With how pathetic this offense was without Jordy, I'm all for adding speed and talent to WR corps.

Listened to him on the podcast. He's a smart, thoughtful kid.

There is a reason you draft a kid, especially in the 5th. It's because you think there is a spot for him on the roster.
