Vernon Butler had a solid amount of fans here last April. Now he's in the rotation of one of the best DL's in football and just had a sack. Clark needs to be awesome, given the DL the Packers passed on.

Yeah we'll probably have each week. Glad to have football back. I guess I have to hope Denver can win even though I hate Denver

It's unbelievable how bad referees are at spotting balls.

I have lots of fantasy players active tonight between my two teams. Liking my players thus far...Cam, CJ, Kelvin, Olsen, Broncos D and just need Demaryius involved a little more.

Not looking forward to 24 hours of "Siemian wins first start. How good will he be? What's his ceiling? Where does he rank among current QBs? etc." up until college football Saturday.

IT HAS BEGUN
"Siemian Leads 2 Clutch TD Drives"
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17501201/trevor-siemian-denver-broncos-clutch-2-td-drives-fourthLet's not mention that 1 drive was a whopping 23 yards where he completed 1 pass for 6 yards.

There were quite a few headshots on Cam. Wonder if there will be fines or something.

If I was a Carolina fan I'd be pissed. I know targeting is an NCAA rule, but those were all prime examples of a guy launching head first into a helmet to helmet hit. There should be suspensions and fines, because that was some dirty BS.
As a sort of related aside, I always hate watching football with people who get excited over these kind of hits. I remember watching film during HS football and one of our guys knocked some opposing player out on a blindside block with a helmet to helmet type of hit. Our coach was so pumped and rewound the film multiple times to replay the hit and getting everybody all jacked up. I sat there cringing. I've been hit that way and blacked out, and had a concussion. That was 15 years ago at the HS level and we had a concussion protical. We took a baseline test at the start of the season, I had to pass it again before they'd let me play. The NFL's treatment of concussions is such a joke. Intentional hits like that are completely unnecessary tough guy BS. If those Denver defenders don't get suspended or fined it will continue to be a joke.
Sorry for the rant, but I can't stand the tough guy stuff. Learn to play the game right. If you have to resort to targeting to win and pretend your just being tough to cover up for it, I lose a ton of respect.

Marshawn Lynch said he will come back if the Pats can acquire his services. Not sure what Seattle would want for him.

In the Super Bowl Cam kind of exposed himself as a guy who can be rattled and might even quit if you hit him and get physical with him.
Now you might see teams get extra physical, take some cheap shots and risk eating a couple 15 yard penalties instead of playing clean and letting Cam be MVP Cam.Ironically it was a re-match with Denver but I think last night was a product of Cam showing weakness in the Super Bowl.I think he's going to take a bunch of cheap shots this season.

I don't buy any of this. He didn't look rattled at all to me last night. His O-Line simply couldn't pass block the Denver pass rush. Any QB would struggle when he has pass rushers either in his face or blasting him all game long. Off the top of my head, i can't remember a QB in recent history who got hit so hard that often. Most QB's in the NFL wouldn't have been able to finish the game had they been blasted as hard and often as Cam was. That was a battering.

How does Gano missing a FG mean that Cam couldn't get it done when he's "rattled"? He drove them down the field for the winning score and his kicker just shanked it.

Just like when Rodgers scores the go ahead td and our special teams allows a huge return, opposing team kicks a fg to win it and they want to point out how Rodgers can't finish games.
