Re: GT: Packers @ Jags Noon Fox
Always excited to begin the season. It will be great to see Jordy out there.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: GT: Packers @ Jags Noon Fox
General topics to watch this game that we've waited for since the end of the season.
Passing Game-It's a simple question that will be answered quickly this game vs a lower tier secondary. With Jordy back and the addition of Cook will WR's be able to create separation, along with coaches scheming players open and finally will Rodgers stop holding on the ball and look to get the ball into tight windows(and be accurate).
Run game-While lacey looks like he's in better shape, he's far from your average size running back. Excited to see what will happen.
OL-All eyes on Lane Taylor and the left side. I believe everyone was comfortable with Tretter, I even viewed it as an improvement, but replacing an all pro OG with a player with 2 starts and had a rough training camp will make things difficult on the passing game.
On Defense it starts with us having a top 3 secondary in the league. Witt will be playing CB's via match ups only, while it safe to assume Shields will only play on the outside it will be interesting to see Randall, Rollins, Hyde and Gunter match up inside and out. Haha I think will take a big step this year and could be pro bowl worthy, he'll be the biggest game changer we've had at S since Collins went down.
Pressure on the QB-With Clay returning to OLB full time(presumably) will help improve the pressure. We need a big year from Jones/Perry on the other side. Perry has been healthy all camp and off season which should help. Jones re shaped his body and had a great pre season, but that doesn't always lead to regular season success. I'm very interested to see how Peppers plays, personally I think he's done and not worth the cap hit, but time will tell.
DL depth will be question even when Pennel comes back in week 5. Daniels is the un question leader who needs to take hold of the D line and take another step to be a pro bowler. Guion needs to continue to be Mr. Reliable up front handling blocks. After that it will be up to first round pick Kenny Clark who while has flashed in training camp but missed part of OTA's due to school and missed the last half of of training camp with a back injury. Lowry had a below average training camp along with Ringo, both are fringe NFL players who will be leaking sieves on the D Line
Our favorite position ILB-Martinez had a great OTA's along with a good camp and has been rewarded as a starter. Thomas re shaped his body and looked like a different player in pre season, both plan to play a lot of snaps at dime and we shouldn't be shocked to see Burnett at ILB. Ryan struggled through injuries and with only 3 ILB's and really the only run stuffer at the spot, we'll need him to stay healthy.
P-Will the gamble pay off and how will it impact Mason on FG's?
Go Pack Go!

Re: GT: Packers @ Jags Noon Fox
Things to watch vs the Jags.
Heat! 85 plus in Jacksonville it will impact a lot of story lines. Packers overall conditioning along with conditioning of impact players Jordy(knee), Lacey(weight), Peppers(age), & D line depth(only 5 & young)
Lane Taylor vs Malik Jackson and the Jags overall D who was given a full week to scheme against him. I thought it was a miss step naming Taylor the starter as it would of not given the Jags the upper hand. Let's hope this decision doesn't impact Rodgers health week 1.
While the Packers weren't able to scout the Jags, the Jags still have a below average D. With Nelson back and the addition of Cook, zero excuses this week if Rodgers has time and can't find open WR's.
With Ivory out leaving more of specialty/3rd down back in Yeldon, any issues on the run D should put up a lot of alarms.
WIth Yeldon and Julius Thomas, the ILB core of Martinez/Thomas will be tested right away.
While Bortles and the Jags passing game progressing last year and them looking to take another step. It would be great start to the season to watch our secondary dominate the game & i'm fully anticipating that to happen.
Without Pressley/Janis as KOR, i'm interested to see who gets the KOR. Personally don't think Abby is great at it & hoping to see Montgomery back there.
First game for the Schum/Gode/Mason, just pray it's a clean debut.

Packers on the field warming up. Got to be at least 93 degrees at field level. Damarious Randall is wearing long sleeves. He's the only one.

Re: GT: Packers @ Jags Noon Fox
This game makes me nervous, the Jaguars are an up and coming team or at least want to show that they are. What better way to show that than to beat the Green Bay Packers at home in week 1.
On the flip side I could see the Packers coming in thinking,we're the Packers, they're the Jaguars and we'll just show up and get a win. This is still a Mike McCarthy coached team.
That said I think the Packers win a close one.I will have a close eye, like most people on the offensive line.

Lacy gained 20 lbs in the past 2 weeks
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

Well that one guy who wrote into the JS isn't happy about this challenge.
