1 Shaw run, 1 20 yd td. Is this the last time we see him tonight? I'm pretty sure even Chryst won't be that conservative. If he were bust out in that OSU game, I'm confident we would have won. I don't think he was available against Michigan, otherwise he'd have made a difference there too. This is the HIll/Clay situation where it took too long to transition to Clay.

Time to give Houston another chance again too. I'm getting tired of Hornibrook's loopy paces taking forever to reach their mark and having to be perfect. The honeymoon there has worn off. Shaw/Houston battery mates for a while. Don't need to see Clement dancing and taking forever to hit the hole anymore either. I know the blocking ain't great, but that's what we've said in the past, then we switched to guys like Clay, Gordon, and Stave; and all of a sudden the perception was different.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Clement is so tentative hitting the hole, and runs upright. Some of this is not the line. That's a cop out.

Settle down. Then he almost threw one on a line to the other team. It's a good decision making noodle-armed qb vs. a bad decision making cannon-armed qb. So it's pick your poison kind of. Houston is winning mostly by default right now.

The bigger issue is Clement over Shaw by far. I was kidding when I said that was the last we'd see of Shaw. It was the last we've seen of Shaw for a while. Why would you stop doing what's working? Insane conservatism is the explanation.

I think Christ is trying to give Clement every opportunity to raise his draft stock.... helps recruiting imo

This O-line is just not very good. Every week there is a different guy struggling badly.

2 different guys, you mean. It's basically Clement or Igbo, and nobody ever rated Igbo as a walk-on. And he's even outdoing Clement, making the line look sufficient. Unlike Clement, he can go east-west because he has some quicks. Clement is a north-south who doesn't hit the hole hard or break many tackles. He doesn't really have anything to hand his hat on. And in the limited sample, the line sure hasn't been a problem for Shaw. So it's crazy to keep going away from what's working.

I think we had to do it, so in that sense it was a nice call, but with Hornibrook fading away the guy pretty much has to be wide open, as Wheelroute was.
