Illini @ Bucky

Opening drive: 5 runs in a row and Hornibrook looking lost on 3rd and 5 when we're forced to throw. He's having a tough time but we sure as hell aren't helping him much with the playcalling.

Second drive: easy throw to Peavy on 1st down results a in an immediate 15 yard gain. Imagine that.

Illinois going for the throw up a prayer and hope for the best offense, bold choice.

I see Jeff George Jr. is a chip off the old block.

Figaro has been directly responsible for two huge plays by the Illinois offense so far.

This would be a great time to let Hornibrook throw it a bit and build his confidence. Instead we continue to wait for obvious throwing downs.

On the one hand I can't stand running on first and second down every time. If you are this predictable it only makes you easier to stop. On the other hand if your QB play is bad I guess you need to give the coach credit for sticking with a mediocre run game over a poor passing game that is riskier.

The weird thing is this could actually be a reasonably close game if Jeff George Jr. wasn't an absolute moron.
