SI.com has Corey Davis as the #4 prospect in the draft.

On the other hand, I read Gil Brandt's list earlier today and Davis wasn't in the top thirty.

I'd be fine with any of the top 3 receivers as our first rounder depending on if an elite pass rush guy falls. I think all 3 will be all pro players.

They have all gone in mocks anywhere from 5 to 35

It's funny because all three WRs have different strengths/weaknesses

Mike Williams: Great hands and catches the ball well even if double teamed but many believe (not me) that he lacks the speed to gain separation in the NFL

John Ross: The fastest guy in the draft, struggles with running routes on the drop of a dime and usually telepaths where he is going.

Corey Davis: good route runner but struggles with drops, reminds me of Antonio Freeman in his prime where he will catch that ball in triple coverage and then drop the wide open pass on the next play.

I would not mind either as our first round pick. Mike Williams is the one I want the most but I have a feeling he goes somewhere between Tennessee (5) and Cleveland (12). Personally, if I am one of those teams who want DeShaun Watson later I am taking Mike Williams or OJ Howard early to pair up with him.

The only reason I wouldn't be pissed at Lamp in the first is I trust our scouts/TT on one thing and that is finding offensive lineman. On one had, I would question why they did it because I would trust them to find one later in the draft.......however, if they feel he is that good they should take him as their 1st round pick then I trust that he is going to be a special player.

I don't know, I think they are nitpicking him because he is so good at everything else that the only negative he has is his speed. They tried to do the same thing to Jerry Rice. They also said this about Mike Evans coming out in the draft...they even tried to say his combine 40 was a fluke.

I think besides OJ Howard, Mike Williams has the 2nd highest ceiling for offensive players projected to go in the first round this year.

If I'm Cleveland I'm going Watson at 1 and Williams at 12. Garret has been overhyped now, and if you don't have a quarterback and are in a position to get one you have to do it. Yes they have holes everywhere but it's mostly irrelevant if you don't have a QB anyway. I am higher on Watson than most though.

Trade down then. Agree on the importance of QB but that would be putting on some serious QB blinders to use the #1 pick on him.

I don't think the QB at #1 thing is really that controversial. If they think they've identified a QB who they can win them games, they absolutely 100% have to do what they can to get him. A hall of fame DE doesn't do you any good if you don't have a QB.

You can't go down to far though. I think it's a good bet the Jets take one at 6 and I think Chicago could grab one at 3.

Watson is suffering from having too much tape. This time of year "draftniks" tend to nitpick and dwell on the negatives rather than the postive.

There's been plenty of really good qbs's that didn't have strong arms. It's a nice luxury but not a necessity. System and the weapons around him are key.

On the ESPN draft show there was a question about what the Packers should do if Corey Davis falls to them. They said, even with our need for corner (assuming Lattimore, Adams, and Hooker are gone) we have to take Davis.

I have been saying that about him, Mike Williams, and OJ Howard since day 1. Looks like Williams and Howard are going top 10-15 though.

There is no other talk around here and we are like a week out from the draft. I say post away.

He put on about 20 lbs since he last played but still managed a 4.5 40 yard dash.

Hypothetical:

A.) You are guaranteed 1 future HOF at any position of your choice out of this draft, but all of the rest of the picks will be epic failures.

or

B.) Every player you draft will be worthy of their pick and valuable to the roster, but none will ever be pro-bowl worthy.

1.) Which do you pick?
2.) If you pick A, what position do you pick?
