Need the Giants to win on Thursday to keep pressure on the cowboys.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

Maybe if you only watched like 50 NFL games ever and it wasn't the 50 greatest games but a random sample of 50 games ever? There is a lot of bad QB play out there to be sure, but that level of hyperbole hurts your credibility.

ESPN currently has TB taking the tie breaker based on common opponents.

Yeah, there are people saying the playoff machine has it wrong.

Read on Twitter

We are both 3-2 vs common opponents. Next tiebreaker is strength of victory. We currently lead them by a half game (48-62-1 vs 49-62-1.) If Washington wins tonight they take over the wildcard based on their 8-5-1 record. If Carolina wins tonight, Tampa catches us with a 49-62-1 record in strength of victory. Next tiebreaker is SOS, which we barely lead.

Big win by the Panthers for us. It makes getting a wild card as a fall back easier if we end with 9 Ws

TB and WAS both losing one more time would be YUGE

Panthers might be able to beat Tampa if they play like that.

I don't know how much this really matters, but TB falling and WAS falling has probably opened some hope/motivation for the Vikings coming into this game (was hoping they'd roll over after being eliminated).

If they beat us, they just need TB to lose both games (they are equals to NO/TB and therefore 3 point dogs this week @NO and should be 3 point faves vs. CAR) and Washington to lose 1 game. Still unlikely, but believable for them if they can beat us.

I did't think they were going to quit after the way they played yesterday. Zimmer will be on their ass all week questioning their heart, yada yada yada

I read the NY Times piece on Rashan Salaam's suicide and many think it's C.T.E. related. I'm really worried that in twenty years we'll have an epidemic, if there isn't one already. The size and speed of these guys make collisions even worse than they used to be.

So the Patriots have the #1 scoring defense in the league.....but I'm sure that the writers will obviously account for that and see past their massive Tom Brady hard-ons when they gift him the MVP even after missing a quarter of the season, and NE going 3-1 in his absence....

Brady so far is

9-1
300ypg average
22TD/2INT ratio
109.7 rate
8.24 YPA

Whether Brady gets the MVP remains to be seen, but he's been fabulous and i hate all Boston area sports teams. I don't see a clear cut MVP winner, but only Matt Ryan has been as good or better statistically at QB.

Brady winning or losing i think will mainly come down to how many writers hold against him the missing of four games vs other candidates who played all 16.

Did he play enough to be a prime CTE candidate? He retired early and missed a lot of time with injury.

There will be a decent amount of MVP votes for Brady as an F you to goodell.

I have no problem with just about any of the candidates winning. I wish you could vote for the Cowboys offensive line as a whole. Dak and Zeke are good but that line is insane.
