By that measure, Stave is better, because he would have made the Vikings' squad if not for injury.

Being in an NFL camp is a low standard. A high majority of UW starters in the modern era make NFL camps. Ever heard the phrase "camp body"?

I think that if Hornibrook keeps starting for UW until the end of his career here, yes, he'll make an NFL camp.

Frankly, your affinity and aversions for QB's seems to be heavily based around recruiting rankings/preconceptions. Stave and Hornibrook were lowly rated recruits, Houston was not. Loving Houston and hating Stave + probably Hornibrook as well is not remotely proportional to their play when they were at UW.

I thought the Badgers were supposed to get a return game from Alabama (in Soldier Field iirc). It wasn't exactly a neutral field playing them down south. Did they renege somehow, or did we just make a bad deal?

It was always a one off.

Stave and Bart were very similar IMO, I just wanted a move to Bart because of his HS pedigree (played for the HS Eq of Bill Belichick and went like 53-3 and won 4 state championships). Horni I just hate because of his arm strength and weakness in the pocket(plays scared and crumbles at the first sign of pass rush). He has a noodle arm and zero playmaking ability.

And yes scouting should count for something....
4-5 star recruits are like 1st - 3rd round picks in the nfl
They have higher ceilings and should be given closer looks.
1-3 stars are expendable like 4 - 7th round picks.

I mean there is a reason Alabama and OSU are great every year, higher rated recruits are generally better....

Notre Dame is the home team at Lambeau, Badgers are the home team at Solder's Field.

I'd rather have these games in Madison and South Bend.

It was a novelty but Notre Dame at Camp Randall would be much better. And Solder's Field is a shithole

This is dumb. So does that mean Notre Dame fans are going to get more tickets for the Lambeau game?

Yeah it's dumb. It said that NBC is broadcasting the game at Lambeau so Notre Dame is the home team. And the BIg Ten owns the rights to the game in Chicago so the Badgers are the home team there. Why that can't be switched I don't know. Beyond dumb.

Welcome to 2017, guys, where this stuff is always about money. I kinda just shrug it off and enjoy it. I'd love it if the Badgers basketball team played in an intimate fieldhouse setting instead of a boring/large arena but things change for $. I think the TV/ticket thing is kinda dumb but I think both teams also don't want a true road game either. Beyond that, I'll enjoy it.

I don't have a problem with the games being played a neutral sites, I just want the Badgers to be the home team at Lambeau.

WTF!? Badgers are the away team?????

That's the dumbest thing ever. The crowd is going to be 60K to 70K Badgers. Why even try to call it anything other than a home game?

Ticket split will be 50/50 for each game. Literally the only reason ND is the home team at Lambeau is because NBC wanted to have the rights to that game.

Zack Baun just ruled out for the year with a foot injury...

LB depth is going to be tested before we even start the f'ing season.

First season opener I haven't been to in as long as I can remember. Watching home games on TV is weird.

Let's do this, boys. Throttle these bitches.
