Bringing in Byron Bell is intriguing. If he can come fully back from a gruesome ankle injury he automatically becomes a candidate to start at RG. In the very least, if healthy, he's definitely an upgrade from Barclay.

Christian Micheal just signed, i'm guessing cheap deal.

Why?

I liked his speed and i'm sure he signed for pocket change, so he's depth for now and if the draft brings in a better player or players, then Michael can simply be cut.

CHRISTINE MICHAEL: Michael has had a checkered career on and off the field. He keeps getting signed because of his energy in locker rooms and his explosiveness as a ball carrier. It’s obvious that he loves to play, which is very, very important. However, he’s undisciplined in almost everything that he does. The front office has to make sure he gets to the game. The coaches and quarterbacks can’t be sure if he’ll line up properly (Wonderlic of 11). The linemen have no earthly idea if he’ll follow their blocks or impatiently cut back. He struggles in all areas of the passing game. The Packers got 91 snaps and 186 yards from scrimmage out of him. Maybe it’s time they quit while they’re ahead. Grade: D-minus.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think it's safe to assume there was little or no guaranteed money involved in the signing. If so, Michael could be cut at any point the team wanted to.

My expectation is that Ted will draft at least one back and likely in the first 3-4 rounds. At best Michael would end up being a 3rd back kept and just making the team an uphill battle.

I like Brown. But I could see him going back to Buffalo after firing his agent.

I think he winds up in Miami since Alonso has said he's willing to play inside or outside.

Kinda surprised we re-signed Michael. I'm assuming for a pretty cheap 1-yr contract. He has that speed but he can pretty much only run in a straight line. Sounds like Ryan Grant...

They signed Timmons to play inside. I guess they could still add Brown but I'm not sure they're in the market for LBs as much as they are DBs.

A less intelligent Ryan Grant at that. I honestly think Michel's brain is what has held him back from achieving what could be with his skill set. There's no denying the guy plays the game hard, but he always seems to be in the wrong place, both on the field and off. I'm guessing this is a cheap 1 year contract, with little to no guaranteed money.

It's an okay move because it allows us to see what he can do with a full offseason under his belt, and just how much he works at the mental aspect of the game. I believe we are his last chance before he completely falls out of the NFL.

Michael isn't an answer. He's just another camp body. Maybe he'll put it all together, but my guess is that Ted is bringing him in as someone somewhat familiar with our offense, but he'll still be on the lookout for a back in the draft and afterwards.

I'm ok with Michael being back as an insurance policy. He has talent, he's just a moron.

Michael is fine for me. I am also of the opinion that he may not make the roster, but he's in the group that should. If not him, it can be somebody else off the scrap heap to just run the ball 10 times in the 2nd half when we have a huge lead.

You have Montgomery, Rip, and Michael. They need maybe one more guy in the 6th round or later or off the dumpster pile of FAs/UDFA after the draft. Montgomery is the dynamic RB, Rip is the blocking back that can barrel for 6-7 yards against 6 man boxes, Michael is there if we're up by 20 in the 3rd quarter. We don't need much more.

I'd be OK with Cook or McCaffrey if they drop and we really think they're game-changing receiving backs in the open field.

Other than that: Do. Not. Tempt. Mike. McCarthy. With. Actual. Running. Backs.

Lynch has been talking about coming back for awhile now. So what is he waiting for to get older?

If the internet was around/more prominent back in the day, this site would've broken the Reggie White news.

Every day this guy is out there it gives me hope, which will infuriate me more when he signs elsewhere for 4 yrs 16 mil or something we could easily match, or do better than.
