Can't be disappointed anymore. It's like expecting a 500.00 for your birthday every year getting a book. You have to eventually lower your expectations.

However, just because other GMs passed on him doesn't validate not taking him. That same thing was said about many players, including Randy Moss. I just hope that the book we receive tomorrow is a good one.

I will say this though, my biggest issue in the past is a guy like Foster falling to us....and we draft a guy we could have traded down and still drafted. At least this year we learned....and we acquired more picks.

At this point, I would trade down again to the middle of the 2nd. All of the talent is in the same group:

Jordan Willis, Mixon, King, Lamp, Tim Williams, Kamara, Cunningham, Budda Baker, Quincy Wilson, McDowell, Derek Rivers, Dalvin Cook, Bowser.

Well, no matter who we pick tomorrow, it will be our pick vs Foster and Watt for the rest of eternity.

I hope TT didn't **** up. I wanted Foster. Grab an impact guy.

I apologize, but why is Dalvin Cook available?

Little disappointed passing on Foster more than Watt. Worried we pass on Cook Wilson or King tomorrow for Lamp or Robinson. We need a sexy pick, not a project offensive lineman. And by sexy I don't necessarily mean a skilled position but more of an impact player we can get instant contributions from.

TT has left himself legitimately open for criticism on that move. Only time will tell.

But if we wait until the 4th round to start picking LBs I'm gonna be livid.

That 33rd pick has trade down written all over it.

I wouldn't even be mad if we did.

You guys watched the draft and heard that NFL analyst talked to multiple GMs that flagged his medical right?

We will definitely trade that pick. And the 4th at some point. All this time to talk with other teams.

And I hate the trade down. A **** 4th? Who gives a ****?

Last year 3 players picked 108th or later were pro bowlers.

There were 2 in 2015.

There were 0 in 2014.

There were 3 in 2013.

There were 4 in 2012 (and 1 was a kicker).

There were 5 in 2011.

We had a player that many considered a top 10 pick sitting there for us at a position of need for several years and we traded down, for a 4th. A player that will likely be a role player at best. So **** frustrating.

So we should be happy that ONCE AGAIN Ted ignored the glaring hole in our defense?

so there was only one player who could address that? hmm.

No, it's that he consistently passes up good Inside Linebackers, a position of need.

The biggest bang for the buck are in rounds 2-4. So many first rounders are well-paid busts.

For the particular picks traded, the standard pick value calculator has green bay coming slightly ahead.

Can't complain until we see how we use it. It's worth 8 spots in the 2nd round.

We had this conversation months ago. I told everyone Foster may fall to us right after being sent home from the combine. You are correct that people have to understand, for a player to fall from top 10 to 30 there has to be a reason. Others have to understand, when you are drafting at 29 you sometimes have to overlook those reasons and take a chance on a guy who can be a huge difference maker.

We have seen year after year that replacement level talent doesn't cut it. We passed on the best ILB, OT, and one of the best OLB. All potential positions of need to coincide with the talent level. I'm hoping that 4th ends up a great player, but color me dubious.

You are a better poster than this analysis. I think you know it too. Also this might be the best draft in a decade or more especially for things the Packers need. Do better.

Apparently he tested poorly and he has character issues. People are concerned with the people he associates with.

Looks like packers shopping pick again. Wouldnt mind moving down a few and still getting a rb or cb. Lots of players left.

Return to Green Bay Packers
