Some last names were definitely meant for different eras. Fascinating:

It is a topographical name, derived from the Middle English "but", meaning mark for archery, target or goal, ultimately from the Old French "but", aim, target. Hence, Butt has come to describe an individual who lived near the archery butts, or perhaps who was himself an archer.
'

EDIT: It appears Butt was destined to be a QB...

Very nice pick by the Falcons. Really liked Kazee.

That's where I want us to go here. Need OL depth, but Hodges could be really special down the line. Perfect guy to stash behind Martellus.

Or double dip at RB and take McWeapon. F*ck it. :)

I want Logan. Am I crazy?

Wouldn't hate that...Dupre, Hodges, D. King, Carraway, or McNichols

There are so many offensive lineman in the same group we will have a bunch to pick from in the 7th or UDFA.

Nah, there's a lot to like in Logan. He's definitely the complete opposite of Williams, zero to sixty now type. You worry about his size, vision and lack of being able to effectively shift gears, but he's certainly a dynamic guy.

Oh man...I'll never forget the BJ Sander moment. Was running up the stairs to gather the 7 layer guacamole bean dip. My cousin yells up the stairs: "Packers traded up! Packers traded up!". I come running down the stairs nearly launch the dip into the basement-level screen door. "The Green Bay Packers select BJ Sander, punter, Ohio State." I mean, I tried to talk my way into liking the pick but I honestly think I was suffering from shock.

Didn't he set the record for shortest punt ever? Or the punt somehow went negative yards? I remember it was something so absurd that only BJ Sander could do.

No player named Jeremy Sprinkle will ever make a mark in the NFL

With Brown gone....we may want to take Boulware if he is still there.

I don't recall. It surely is possible and probably likely. BUT, it's hard to imagine a top-end of a draft worse than Sherman's 2004: Ahmad Carroll, Joey Thomas, Donnell Washington, and a trade up for coffin corner specialist BJ (William Herbert) Sander. Wow. Just wow.

Me too! This may not be PC but it sounds like a name straight out of the days of Pop Warner and the Carlisle Indian School...honestly, I'm just glad he didn't end up in Washington. Some ironies are best left to the imagination than punching you in the face.

One more time for the darkhorse ILB prospect in BYU's Langi. I just have this hunch the Pack are targeting him. He has the speed and could be a decent developmental prospect for a year while being a ST stalwart immediately. He just offers more explosion and NFL capability than Boulware imho.

EDIT: Dupre would be great value in the 5th. EDIT 2: I had no idea Hodges hadn't come off the board. That would be tremendous value in the bottom of the 5th.

Can someone tell me how a 6'6" man who runs a 4.54 40 is still available in the bottom-half of round 5? Does someone here know of any red flag issues with Hodges?
