Interesting
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yep, not a position I would have any interest in drafting this year

Seems like a reach, but Ted has proven he knows his receivers. :dontknow:

We take one every year, regardless of need. Cobb is regressing, Jordy getting older, Adams will be a FA soon.

Well, now we can compare King to Watt/Foster and Yancey to Hodges for the next few years.

Yancey is actually an ascending prospect. He fits the mold of bigger possession WR's we seem to love. Personally, I would have valued Hodges over Yancey but they love competition at WR; we'd been linked to Yancey (I think he visited?); and we are pretty set at TE given their commitment to Dick Rod. Color me interested to see how he pans out. I mean, you can't complain at the WR competition we have going currently.

He dominated Desmond King and Iowa had to switch coverage on him.
He also did very well against us. Reminds me of James Jones.

Thought he would be undrafted.

Yeah, but we have one center on the roster who was injured much of last year, that scares me...I don't know I guess we will see but right now we have Jordy, Adams, Cobb, Allison, Davis, Janis and I think two guys that were maybe on the practice squad, McCaffrey and Goodley...that also omits Ty.

I know Ted knows what he is doing though. CBS had some small panel thinking it was a good pick I guess.

He has 4 TD's of +60 yards and over 75% of his catches resulted in first downs, 2nd team all Big 10, playing on an awful team.

A lot of raw talent, will be on the coaching staff if he can contribute.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

He has like a legit 9 hail Mary catches. Fitting.

Watching his highlight reel, you really realize how pathetic Purdue football has become. In half the clips the scoreboard shows them down 20+ points.

As someone who went to Purdue, they have been putrid and unwatchable. This kid is like a rose blossoming among stinkweed and kudzu. You can't find a highlight where he isn't burning people. The throw frequently pulls him back into coverage. He might not have the speed to do it at the pro level, but he certainly took the top off of coverage at the college level.

I am a big fan of Yancey. I like him alot more than Dupre and I'll predict he and Allison will push Cobb out of a job next offseason.

Yeah, watching his clips he consistently gets behind coverage. Every one of his highlights seems to be a 20-30 yd over the shoulder catch. Possession? Perhaps. But, he has some sizzle.

He kind of reminds me of Greg Jennings' running style. It doesn't look like he's running that fast, but he consistently gets separation on deep passes. That would be huge for our offense if it translates to the pros.

I'm glad to see you guys find some good feedback on him. Wasn't a fan of the pick so you guys are giving me some hope. I also fully admit to having no idea who he was when we called his name
