Rookie Camp

Post#1 » by dbrodz7 » Fri May 5, 2017 6:04 pm

Figured we should get a thread started for this tracking how the guys are looking. I read that Biegel already left the first practice with an injury.

Jason Wilde said the Dupree and Yancy looked good, but the most impressive guy was Speedy Noil. He's from Texas A&M and there on a tryout.

I'd love to read an article about which teams have the most (an impactful) undrafted or late round rookies. It's amazing that we're probably justified in paying attention to these unknown dudes.

Sounds like they already have jones working at ilb in the nickel. That could be the difference in this defense. I actually am having trouble hiding my raging mega hard boner right now

We are so lucky with injuries. Expect word of a mysterious infection and amputation of Biegel's hand and forearm any day now

HHCD took KK & JJ to dinner. Nice gesture on his part getting the rookies in with a steak dinner.

It's true though, you almost assume whoever we draft is about to get hurt somehow.

The alliteration on this team is getting out of hand. I was kind of hoping we would land Marlon Mack to add to the trend.

We need a couple more DBs with double initial names to complete the secondary.

Well, we just lost our SS, hopefully we can pinch hit the DH for him, might be just what the DR ordered...wait what sport are we talking about again?

I'm excited to see what Taysom Hill can do after a few seasons in McCarthy's QB school (and learning from Rodgers). Unbelievable athleticism and a strong arm. Obviously needs to show considerable improvement reading defenses and honing his accuracy but GB is the perfect place for him to learn. And if he's ever going to have success in the pros, it will most likely be in a west coast offense.

At the very least, he should be fun to watch in preseason. :)

I'm assuming Callahan will be back as the PS and de facto #3 QB. Though Taysom Hill is obviously a much more talented player. Could be a camp battle worth keeping an eye on.
