Preseason Game #3: Packers @ Broncos

Post#1 » by bizarro » Sat Aug 26, 2017 7:15 pm

I really hope Murphy shows some plug-in-ability. I have no idea what I'm looking for this game...other than Rodgers not playing and all key players being healthy.

As an aside: have any of you ever experienced the Denver airport. Holy hell, what a s$$$show. It's bad enough dealing with the unknown winds peeling off the front range (One of my worst flight experiences ever was coming into Denver from the East Coast. We lost altitude and power during our turn toward the airport, had a crazy dip but reclaimed normality within 5 seconds. I was surrounded by a hs girls volleyball team returning from a tournament. Those five seconds were followed by 5-10 seconds of unimaginable hs girl squealing. I still haven't recovered) BUT, the giant blue stallion with neon bright red electric eyes and a fully hung anatomy?!? WTF?!?!

If McCarthy did that **** in the regular season, I would go kick him in the balls.

Cut Spriggs immediately
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think Spriggs is the reason Rodgers didn't come out for that redzone play before going to the bench. Smart decision.

I wanted Spriggs on this team more than most, now I'm ready to admit I was wrong.....please cut him.

Outside of Clay and Perry our linebackers are terrible.

I'm still absolutely irate we didn't draft Ruben Foster.

Especially when King doesn't look very good.

He almost gave up another big touchdown but was saved by Ryan.

Also, Perry going down already. Over/under on number of games played this year?

Still early but yeah,King doesn't look good so far.

My fear with King is that the Packers drafted him because he's ''tall''. Being tall at CB is a nice asset to have...if you don't suck.

Not to mention Rasul Douglas is just as tall and after a bad first week of camp has been playing pretty well. Could have had him almost two rounds later.

This defense reminds me a lot of last year. It's like the Broncos are playing rookie difficulty level in Madden.

King is making me nervous, the thing that is scaring me is that it doesn't look like he's making any improvement from week to week. Not saying I expect the guy to be Charles Woodson, but if you suck the first week of camp/first preseason game you should at least sort of show a little improvement by the end of August. He's not.

All I'm looking for is a flash that you might be a decent NFL player, hasn't really shown one yet in 3 games. An early 2nd pick should be showing signs at this point.

We'll see.Not saying I think the guy is a bust, but he's making me nervous.

It's always amazingly stupid when a dude gets a big gain, and the defender taunts them when they get up.

I always think of Nick Barnett when that happens.

Just saw Gunter is now our 5th CB and in danger of being cut.

Yeah based on what we've seen so far from King it's not promising especially based on Ted's history of highly drafted defensive players. It also doesn't seem like he moves as well as he timed at the combine either during an actual game. Not giving up on the kid but definitely not overly excited for his future either. I'm much higher on Hawkins personally.

Nice burst from Jones. Hundley hasn't been great this preseason.

Return to Green Bay Packers
