Just keep running. I don't get it. Hornibrook is not a deft passer.

Underthrow, hangs, floats, whatever, costs us a TD there.

Come on Peavy. You have to catch that. Still not a great throw.

Enough about the quarterback. Success or failure comes down to a lot more than that. We've had a lot of mundane qb's at UW over the years, with Houston being one of them.

Other bigger issues look like the lb corps hurting majorly when Watt declared, Biegel graduated, and Cichy (leader + playmaker) + Baun (next big thing supposedly) got injured. Or the OL because Ramczyk declared and maybe since we're using Deiter as the LT instead of centrally where he was successful while taking the training wheels of Van Lanen. Might be making a mistake not utilizing Jamerson as the nickel and starting Ferguson at safety. Remains to be seen.

Looks like a team right now that has plenty to figure out before they can possibly perform like expected. Thankfully the schedule is forgiving to go through trials and errors. But this doesn't look like a top 15, maybe 20 team as presently constituted. We shouldn't be struggling this long against cupcakes. It's evocative of '07 when after a strong '06 we returned a good majority of starters but lost key guys and started similarly against teams we should steamroll. I was high on how this team projected at the middle of last season, but a lot has happened since.

Simple fact we are a top 5 team without a top 100 qb, its such a waste, been that way since Wilson....

That's like the 3rd or 4th special teams penalty in the first game and a half.
