I hope Hundley made that dumb call to go to Cobb...awful play call if not.

Can forgive going deep and obviously running the ball...but, that?

That's a dumb rule. If you bobble it initially that should be fair game.

It is the right call. A bobble isn't the same as a muff, you can't hit him until the ball is on the ground.

Just posting to say, Janis is the worst ever at falling on a fumble.

I mean I get it, they wanna give the returner the ability to still catch it if it's in the air, but that's an annoying call.

Is that really the rule? So technically couldn’t somebody just bobble it on purpose down the entire field and score a TD?

Would they get it where he caught it, or where he first touched it? If it’s where he catches it, it’s a dumb rule. You could have guys practice “bobbling” it forward.

Ok, so that's only in a fair catch? Makes sense.

Yup. It was a fair catch. Had it not been, I think that would have been an okay play.

I wonder what would have happened had Jones just plucked the ball out of the air after the bobble without ever touching him.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Unless they would get the it where he first touched it.
