I'm not sure who's going to win this game. The only thing I can say definitively is that if McCarthy calls the game the same way he did the Saints game, this game will end up being the most boring game in the history of football.

Wish we could just cut Bennett. But I'm assuming it will be financially more responsible to let him retire.

After 2 weeks of prep I'm fairly certain we start off run run pass punt.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Steelers got rid of Dick Lebeau and get some good young talent and bam they become a good defense again. Impressed with their defense in Detroit.

Dom and TT gotta go

While I've pretty much wanted McCarthy fired since 2009, with the defense I've always been more of a ''it's the players'' guy than a blame Dom guy.

But the evidence is starting to pile up that maybe it's more coaching than some of us thought, this stuff isn't coincidence.Plus you'd think after all these seasons of terrible defense, just based on odds you'd at least blind luck into have 1 good season of defense. Especially when we have invested so heavily on the defense in that time span.

How is a defense THIS bad and this consistently bad for this long??

Another trend on defense is guys looking solid their first or second season here, then falling off a cliff.Randall is a current example of this. Raji looked like the next big thing at DT his first 2 seasons, then fell off a cliff.

"Run, run, pass, punt" huh? It seems you've ruled out the possibility of an interception on 3rd down. I must say, I like your bold optimism!

Of course coaching and scheme matter. But it's all about finding the right players to fit your scheme, and not adjusting your scheme to fit the players you have. Come on, everybody knows this. Cut the guy some slack, Dom's only been here 10 years, for Christ's sake! This is hardly a sufficient sample size. Can we give the guy some time?! Don't worry, he'll figure it out.

I was listening to the Dan Le Batard Show podcast and he has Jalen Ramsey on there. Dan asked him who he thought the best corners in the league were (other than him), and Jalen brought up Casey Hayward.

The truth is, though, Casey could still be on our roster and I wouldn't be surprised if he was still mediocre. I don't trust Capers to do the job right.

I am hoping Hundley gets us to the playoffs....Then the Browns will give us their 1st or 2nd round pick.

So much for the sanctity of the quarterback room, Mike.

Fat Mac gonna go all Fat Mac at his next presser. Who's the lucky reporter that gets to ask him about his quarterback room?

It's in the ATL thread, but figured I'd bring it here too. Apparently, we tried to sign Hoyer before he agreed to go back to New England.

MM's next press conference is sure gonna be a thing.

I moved the posts here just to avoid duplicate discussions in multiple threads, just in case anyone is wondering why their posts were moved here. But yes, MM is gonna have some explaining to do.

If the most effective plays your current starting quarterback has made is via scramble, have I got an idea to share.

I wonder if Cobb would be better than Hundley.
