Ravens Leadup Thread - Ty is OUT for Sunday, Page 2

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Mon Nov 13, 2017 5:11 pm

Ravens are 4-5 this season. Haven't been especially impressive. 30th ranked in total yards on offense, but they're a top 10 defense again. They have losses on their schedule to the Bears (at home), Steelers (at home), Jaguars, Vikings, and Titans. They're also coming off a bye.

It'll be an interesting matchup, for sure.

They're dead last in the league in passing offense, so naturally, Flacco's gonna throw for 250+ against our coverage scheme. Literally couldn't be a more perfect matchup for us on paper though. Their scoring defense is good but their overall ranking is a bit skewed due to the two shut outs against Miami and Cincinnati. They've given up 20+ to the Bears and 40+ to the Jaguars. Just trust Hundley and find a way to win.

If that happens you may as well take a blow torch to the entire defensive coaching staff (and most of the DB's) that Monday. Flacco's having by far the worst year of his career, and that's saying something.

Aaron Jones is likely going to miss a month. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000876505/article/injuries-aaron-jones-knee-to-miss-about-a-month

I thought it could be worse.

Honestly thought it might be worse and with what we saw from Williams yesterday we aren't in as bad of a position as you might have feared.

Monty played well too. Sucks big time as I thought Jones may have a chance to sneak into offensive ROY

Hopefully Montgomery can go. If not, we'll see what Mays has to offer.

The amount of injuries this teams piles up every week is just comical at this point. No matter what happens for the rest of the year, at least we were 2-0 against the Bears.

They reached an injury settlement and waived him so they could bring him back without using one of the IR exceptions.

Ah that makes a ton of sense given no one else was likely to sign him.

I don't think Hart was really at fault for that bad snap against the Bears. That was on Vogel's hands. And, the rain, sure.

But bringing back Goode is fine by me.

It really is strange and you probably could indeed call it comical at this point, but I think I might have figured out why it's happening.

I think the football Gods got together back in 2010 and said, we're going to let the Packers win 1 Super Bowl with Mike McCarthy because Aaron Rodgers is too good to not have at least 1. But the football Gods allowing a coach as awful as Mike McCarthy to win a Super Bowl came with a huge price, can you imagine the strings they had to pull for that happen.

Thus the insane amount of injuries year after year for the Packers. And with the NFC so weak this season the football Gods took out Aaron Rodgers, they wern't taking any chances.

Yeah Jones was looking like a great find at RB shame he couldnt finish the year healthy. Love his running style, no bull hits the hole.

With all due respect, who gives a **** if Jones was a ROY contender or not? It's an honor that means nothing to anyone else except him and his family. In other words, it means nothing.

I already realize that I just came off like a dick, and for that, I'm sorry. But I did say "with all due respect"....
